DIY Saturday Spa | Pamper yourself! Sugar Scrub and Chocolates!

DSC_0019 (2).jpg

Happy Saturday!! Feel like a little pampering?

Even though my daughters are grown and on their own I still worry about them! Like most of us they don’t often take time to pamper themselves. I remember those days oh so well don't you? As a result I’m always looking for ways to send a little tender loving care their way!

There’s nothing better than a hot shower after a long day, right?

How about adding an invigorating body scrub to that shower time! They’re so easy to make, in fact you probably have the ingredients in your pantry right now.

Organic Coconut oil…

and eucalyptus essential oil!

Sugar scrubs are great for your skin!

They help exfoliate and smooth dry skin, brighten tired and dull looking skin. Coconut Oil is a wonderful natural moisturizer and Eucalyptus Oil adds a whole new dimension to our scrub. This essential oil has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties, relieves stress and helps to boost your immunity; not to mention it smells amazing! Combine 1 cup sugar with ½ cup coconut oil and 10 drops of Eucalyptus Oil.

No worries, I won’t forget the chocolates!

These just take a few minutes! Dark chocolate chips melted over a double boiler or microwave, add a touch of coconut oil to make the chocolate easier to spread. Find your favorite chocolate molds, drop a few chopped walnuts or goji berries in each mold and fill with chocolate! Freeze until you’re done with your shower!

Voila! Saturday Spa Day!

Try using your favorite essential oil; lavender, lemon, orange, mint…your choice! It stores beautifully although I don’t think it will last long! Sugar scrubs make great gifts too! I know my daughters both loved it. Give yourself a little pampering this weekend! I would love to hear what you think. Thanks for stopping by!

And as always, blessings to you all!

So simple but sounds so indulgent, your kitchen creations are simply amazing Nrs Bird! When I was a teenager, I used to love having a homemade spa on a Thursday night - face masks made with oats, cucumber slices on the eyes, a lemon juice hair rinse etc etc, I used to really enjoy it;) I'd love to try your sugar scrub!

Oh yes I remember the egg white mask as well! We also used to rub our hair with a green laundry soap (Sunlight Soap) and sit in the sun so it could turn blonde;) But I need a foot scrub nowadays for sure so will try it for sure!,

I've had sugar scrubs before and they're enjoyable. I'd certainly love one with Eucalyptus added. I like a shower in the morning, but a bath in the tub at night.

Oh I hope you'll try @free-reign! I think you'll love the eucalyptus essential oil, so invigorating and also fantastic as a foot spa too! Love those night-time bath spas :)

I love Eucalyptus oil, and when I use the steam room at my gym, they give it to us to add, if we ask for it. I always feel great after breathing it in while I'm in there.
