Introduction

I am not sure that whether I would be able to make this post interesting for readers or not but the journey that I would be discussing was much pleasurable and peaceful for me. Ah

The place that I would be discussing is just few miles away from our current residence. Probably 3½ hours it will take me to reach there via a bus. Bus is most preferable option for those who don't have even two wheelers (motorcycle).

The place is called Vidyanatha Temple Devghar, Jharkhand. Devghar ( Means house of God) This is second time I got the opportunity to visit this place. Please don't think that my first journey was recent. I got this good luck after 15 years.

I will be discussing my first visit on another day, I was a kid then probably 4-5 year old.

My recent journey was with our landlady. Yeah! Your ears heard right. Our landlady ( 70 year old) one day presented the desire that we would be visiting to that famous Shiva temple called Vaidyanath.

Actually the plan of visiting there was of all three-families including us who were living on rent there. So, one day all ladies decided that we would have a trip.

But they all knew that their husband would never agree because they possibly value time and money but if Land lady commands this they would have no other option.

If they go against her will they will be fired out from the house. Yeah.. You heard correct.. ( fired out).

So, it was a family trip. My father always used to oppose such trip but he also could n't win the arguments with our land lady. So, finally we all booked a Bolero my mother, father, landlady, land Lord, her servent, and four other person along with their kids of (1-2 year).

Journey Began

The journey was not so comfortable but we made our heart understood that we were visiting a holy place so our thoughts hould be pure.

Few years back there was no good road and yet a lot many devotees used to come from different state . They used to walk and walk for 3-4 days to reach the temple of course with a slight break in mid way of journey. Yeah you heard right...We are getting a lot of facilities now.

We all have some wishes to be fulfilled. The temple is great almost millions of people visits every year there. You can feel their desires in their eyes. I don't know whether God grant boon of wish fulfillment to all visitors but one thing I am sure that if you come there you could feel the sense of positivity everywhere.

Now in mid journey there was nothing to stop as we are not going to eat before worshiping in temple. Journey was of short duration.

So, finally at 11:00 AM we arrived at the temple. Every inch was filled with humans. At the entrance there were many shopkeepers that used to sell flowers, ornaments, traditional arts and other ritualistic things.

Now at the entrance gate of temple we realized that we had forgotten to remove our shoes and vehicle driver had already informed that he would be going somewhere probably for his lunch but would be available within one hour.

We requested few shopkeepers to help us in keeping our shoes but none agree. Luckily one agree. But there's a twist. One of our renter woman had some harsh conversations with that shopkeeper against price while we were buying offering for Lord Shiva but at that moment he helped us in keeping our shoes in his store.

Finally, We entered the temple. The environment was so peaceful. There were many priests called as Paanda.

Who are Paaanda?

IMG_20210721_142443_014.jpg

Paanda are of some special race of native priest who used to live at places nearby temple and their ancestors were priest of that temple so they are now the priest.

It's like giving assets and property to your son and then to you grand children.

So, they charge fee. There were many temples. But the main concern was Lord Shiva. Shiv linga because of him the place is so famous. We used to offer Lord water, flowers and Bel leaves etc. Then I saw a women who started quarelling with our land lady for that also.

In front of God you are saying harsh words to his another devotee just because you are selfish. You think the more time you would take to worship Lord more this makes Lord happy and this is totally a thinking mistake.

God is happy when his children are happy. At least respect each other god will rejoice for sure. I learned a nice lesson from this visualization.

After journey over we went to that shop for our shoes. All of us got the shoes except our another companion lady who quarrelled with that shopkeeper.

God know! Who was right. After that we returned back to our home probably between 5-6 PM.

What is in Devghar?

Story

Now I have to say this in short. According to Hindu belief, long ago there was a great demon king named Ravana who had got this Shiva Idol as a boon from lord Shiva ( believed on kailash mount situated in north of India) Ravana offered his ten heads one after another to Shiva as a sacrifice and Shiva each time used to revived him.Shiva himself took the form of this idol called Aatmalinga but due to other godly interferences Ravana wasn't able to take it at his native place Sri Lanka.

Ravana planned to wreak havoc in the world and if he would able to stabilized that Aatmalinga in his native along with the secret rituals. Even Lord Rama could not kill him.

Miracles

The Aatmalinga is so heavy that none of scientific instruments could ever take it out. It is the speciality of that Linga.

There's is a pot fixed at height above linga and no one known "Ganga river water always used to fall from it as a drop on Shiva linga.

There's are countless stories of its miracle.

What is Shiv Linga?

Shiva linga is not any nuclear bomb.
As per my perception Shiva linga is a representation of the entire cosmos and it's existence to be inside, the form Shiva linga.
The Shiva linga (divine Body)

Do u know what is Divinity here

Beyond perception awakened conscious form is called as state of Shiva. Smaller than entire elemental existence and larger than anything possible.

Shiva Linga is represented as surrounded by Argha or Sakti.
On cosmic level this state of Shiva and Shakti keeps on forming infinite number of matters and elements.

In the Shiva, the divine form has something called Vindu.. That's makes Shiva to manifest himself in every possible dimensions of existence.
