A Visit to Thor's Cave

I don't know why it's called Thor's Cave but it's always suited it. We parked in the village at Wetton in North Staffordshire and followed the footpath through the fields. We had to navigate over a few stone walls along the way. You need to be fairly fit.

After walking around the bottom of the hill, which was the easiest route I came across the cave.

I last visited Thor's Cave in my younger days where I climbed into the cave. Unfortunately, I'm a bit older .... ahem .... and I just didn't fancy it as it's a bit steep and slippery inside.

I managed to take a few photos. There is a bit of a drop at the front of the cave and steps leading to the field below. I found it difficult taking photos as my fear of heights kicked in so I snatched a few photos and left. It's a great cave though and it was good to revisit it.
