Milford sound is one of those rare special places in the world. Located in the south west of New Zealand's South Island, within Fiordland National Park Milford Sound has one of the worlds highest mean annual rainfalls of 6,412 mm (252 in). After waiting though several days of rain and snow, the clouds finally parted to a still glassy morning. Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site. South Island, New Zealand

I took this shot on a Canon EOS 50D, with a Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM at ISO 100, f/10, 1/160s at 20.0 mm (31.7 mm in 35mm).

Very beautiful scenery. I can feel the cold weather there. Thank you for sharing the beauty of parts of the world of New Zealand.

Awesome isn't it? I stood in that exact spot once and took a photo of the same scene.

Wow that's beautiful. I've heard NZ is wonderful and of course the Lord of the Rings showed some amazing views but this is beyond... Great shot!
