Anticipation, anticipation
Is makin' me late
Is keepin' me waitin'
There is nothing quite like the adrenaline rush of excitement as you finally see the view of your vacation destination from the window of the airplane!

It hits me

Every. Single. Time.

On this particular trip we were headed to Sint Maarten /Saint Martin back in 2019. Nostalgically, also the last international vacation I took since the pandemic.

The views you see are of Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten.

I'm pretty covered, right. My back piece took about 20 hours. It's a tribute to the only parent I knew. She left when I was 37. At the very top, just under my neck line is a mailbox with her last known address.

Oh yeah I could feel the anticipation build waiting to enjoy the sun and fun there!! yes please indeed!

There is a well known backstory to the song as Carly wrote it about waiting for Cat Stevens to pick her up for a date. I could see feeling anticipation for a date with her as she was a cutie :)
