SPIRITUALITY CHALLENGE: WHAT IS SPIRITUALITY FOR ME?

A wonderful and blessed day to all members of the @naturalmedicine Community. It is indeed a privilege to be participating in this contest, courtesy of @miriannalis. The topic of the challenge got my attention and I decided to give it a try.

Here are the topics to be reflected upon:

  • What is spirituality for you?
  • How do you experience spirituality? Have you had any mystical experiences?
  • Who is a spiritual Master for you?
  • What practice would you recommend to achieve a spiritual connection or development?
  • What impact does a spiritual life have on your healing processes?

In as much as we have different religion and beliefs, I think Spirituality talks or mean one thing and that means that one no longer lives for himself but for His creator or for the one he beliefs in.

Spirituality involves recognizing that we have a supreme being, one that is greater than me, and be ready to submit to that being for a cordial relationship to flow between each other.

Spirituality is a relationship between God and man and this relationship can only happen when our lives sum up these four things;

  • holiness,
  • the gift of the Spirit,
  • life in the Spirit,
  • the discipline of the Spirit.

So, for me, spirituality means living a holy life, having the gifts of the Spirit, living a life in the Spirit, and allowing the Spirit of God to discipline us and mold our life which will help us in the walk.

Spirituality for me is an opening of our heart and allowing the one who we believe in, come into us and have direct our lives and that is the only way the four things I mentioned earlier can happen in our lives.

A man who is not ready to submit to the understanding of God can never say he is spiritual because spirituality can never be accessed or lived with a carnal mind, it needs the opening and renewing of our heart and living an exemplary life.

Spirituality means, a particular or set of beliefs, values, and way of life that reflects the life of the one we believe in and reflects the teachings of the Bible and been able to weave them into the fabric of our day-to-day life.

Spirituality means living a life out of the ordinary, living a life out of the status quo, and living an extraordinary life that can't be lived by a man who does not understand what spirituality means.

Spirituality means having peace of mind, joy, love, patience, longsuffering, faith, and many more. Spirituality means the Spirit of God dwelling in the life of someone who is conscious of her relationship and fellowship with Christ and refuses to be interrupted by carnality and sin.

Spirituality is beyond the physical eye but can only be seen, known, and felt physically by other people around us by our lifestyle and manner of relating with others.

Spirituality cannot exist without God and spirituality isn't about talking or acting, it is about the transformation of our lives.

What beautiful words, I vibrated when I read these lines so full of wisdom.

I loved when you say that spirituality escapes the physical eye, but nevertheless everyone can see it translated into our actions and our way of life.

Very beautiful, and I was left wanting to go deeper, for example, what would it be like to live a holy life? Or to have a life in the spirit?

You left me with many reflections in process.

I love how you describe spirituality, it is in a simple and poetic way. Without a doubt, spirituality transcends human concepts, and refers us and connects directly with God, with our Creator. I also consider that coherence is fundamental when we live our spirituality, that is, connecting practice with ideas, and according to what you expose you are a coherent person. Very good post. Me encanta cómo describes la espiritualidad, pues es de una forma sencilla y poética. Sin duda alguna la espiritualidad trasciende los conceptos humanos, y nos remite y conecta directamente con Dios, con nuestro Creador. Considero también que la coherencia es fundamental cuando vivimos nuestra espiritualidad, es decir, conectar práctica con ideas, y de acuerdo a lo que expones eres una persona coherente.
