After we have sold some of the maize, there are still many on the stick which we decided to leave and allow them to dry on the stick but I noticed that they being eaten by birds and they really destroying the maize.

Now I have harvested them all and I think of drying them. When there is sun I will dry them outside and when it is night I will take them inside and since I have done that it has been secure from the birds.
