To me it's a family tradition to plant a fig plant at home. My mother and her mother, and perhaps the generations before them, also planted fig trees in their homes.

This is a small plant that I planted with a stem that I cut from a mother plant. I planted it and in a month it got its first leaves. Now it's three months old and I am sure it will continue its growth.

I'm pleased to present the benefits that are obtained by consuming the fruits of a fig tree. It's also important to know the benefits of infusing fig leaves.

But first, let's get to know the plant. The Ficus Carica tree grows at a great height. If we allow the plant to grow and exceed the level of our roof, it will grow. It must be pruned to prevent it from growing in height and becoming leafier on the sides. This is a branch of the plant, with some very small green figs.

The close up leaf is bright green. To the touch the sheet has a rough texture on the underside. And the fruits, that is, the figs of this species when ripe, are very dark violet in color. Ripe figs are very sweet on the palate and have many round granites in their pulp that are crunchy when chewed. These small granites are the seeds.

The infusion of the leaves of the fig tree, the latex that comes out when splitting a leaf or its stem and even the fruit itself, have many benefits for the organism.

Here are some benefits that I know of:

. The infusion of the fig leaf lowers blood sugar levels. This means that the infusion is suitable for diabetics because by lowering blood sugar levels, the patient needs less insulin injections.

. The fruits of the fig tree are rich in potassium and the infusion of the leaf. This helps the cardiovascular system, improving your rhythm and your heart rate. What affects the decrease of tension.

. The infusion of the leaves lowers blood triglyceride levels. It also corrects atherosclerosis since it prevents cholesterol from being deposited in the blood vessels.

. The infusion is also recommended for respiratory problems, such as skin disease and asthma.

. The latex that flows when a leaf or stem is detached from the plant is known as keratolytic, since it releases warts on the skin.

. The infusion of the leaf has antioxidants that favor the elimination and the non-production of tumor cells.

. The fruit of the fig tree contains vitamin C, folic acid, magnesium, calcium and is rich in fiber. Therefore it is suitable against infectious pictures, in the response of the nervous system, it facilitates the calcification of the bones and regulates gastric and intestinal function.

I hope that this little information helps you and encourages planting some figs in your home gardens.

As I read, it is not very demanding on the land where it is planted. In fact it is a tree that comes from Asia and is distributed throughout the Mediterranean.
