Our body has everything to stay healthy

Hello community of Natural Medicine, a pleasure to be here again with a publication that is the result of a conversation I recently had with my wife, about a mutual friend who has an overweight problem, and who is determined to have bariatric surgery...

The subject seems to be very common, and in fact it is, nowadays people want quick solutions to their problems(and not only in health matters), I understand, going through the process of a diet is usually a kind of torture, especially for people who have had an unsuitable eating habit all their lives, full of sugars, sodas, sweets, in short, everything you need to stop eating in order to lose weight, but, it's not just that, we all know that even when we are within the normal weight range we should dedicate some minutes of the day to exercise, at least 3-4 times a week.

For people who are overweight it is often difficult to exercise, they get tired faster, obviously, plus they are usually sedentary people, which makes exercising a little (big) torture too. I'm not exaggerating, it's like this.

Another condition that usually accompanies them is the fact of having a certain level of anxiety, by much their weight can make them uncomfortable and they can fight for years against overweight, with intermittent diets, that begin but soon they abandon, the same happens with exercise routines, then:

Is this whole situation solved by surgery?

The answer is very simple, CLOSE NO. The first thing, before undergoing any surgical process for this purpose, is to get in control with a psychologist who specializes in that area. Why, does it mean that you have a psychological problem,yes, of course. After years with a habit, it is difficult to stop it from one day to the next, I am not saying that it is impossible, but it is certainly very difficult, so first you have to undergo a process of changing your habits, and of course, everything starts with the mind.

Friends, we have in our body practically everything necessary to keep us healthy, the first thing is to become aware of it, because it is known that surgery could be a quick solution for weight loss, however everything has its risks, and this apparently innocuous procedure always brings its effects both in the physical and mental.

Can you imagine what would happen in the mind of these people who have surgery, see quick results and continue with their same habits?

In a matter of months he would be overweight again, and what produces in his mind this shock and confrontation with reality could even lead him to a state of depression, which is another psychological illness that is often related to anxiety .

I don't want to be pessimistic at all, but rather realistic. I know it's not an easy situation, but everything we do and don't do has its consequences, so it's better to work on ourselves, to create good eating and physical - and mental - exercise habits to keep us healthy...

I totally agree, surgery is not the option in many cases and it introduces more complications than it solves oftentimes.

I’m not perfect by any means, but one of the things we know is that the diet is the most important part of losing weight. I also dislike the word diet now because it’s used too much in a fashion to mean quick results. Lifestyle is the better word that explains it. The lifestyle people choose is the most important factor in our body weights. Exercise is second, to me.

Thank you for the comment. Certainly the word diet is more understood now by special diets for quick weight loss, however, diet refers to everything that eating implies. But, it is more for the current habit of use.
I find it quite congruent to talk about lifestyles, because it encompasses more than just food. From sleeping, to exercising, and of course, exercise has a great implication in our state of health.

Beautifully said. I like to share my experience. I had overweight problems, which made people think I maybe pregnant...ha, ha. In my country it can sound revolting, especially is your a unmarried women like me, not that it matters.

I had other problems fatigue, due to chronic vitamin defiency and menstrunal problems due to overweightness too.

I was actually never worried about my weight, but only my weakness, it weighed on me that maybe I will never able to be energitic, do activities like travelling often and all, I felt devastated that I can't trek, because I tasted outdoors doing one trekking expedition where I actually hiked a top of a hill, that too eating way less than the guys accompanying me.

Age was a factor I was already early 30's, can't trek any older.

However, after lot of chaus, with breaking up of my engagement, things changed.

I was becoming more active, energitic, slowly. It started by schduling execises, aloting time to work and working on myself in other ways, meditation.

3 years of it and after more life crisis, I am 36 now, lifting 20 litre water cans by myself. I do pushups. I also been going after stray cats this year so like ten times a day going 4 floors up and down.

Also managed moping, sweeping home without maid.

Surely, and I am thin now, not putting weight.

I also am very anxious person, very lonely, unloved, insulted, angry... but managing that.

I will feel awful without exercising, without my 25 minutes of sunshine, without studying cryptos(gives a adelarine kick) and I even feel I am meant to travel coz my travel writting right here at peakd get well recognized.

You can say although my worth is not picked up, the process is set and a immetent bull run of my sucess at one level is bound to happen, as these these indicators show that I am on the verge of doing better in life, although I can get frustrated, lose hope, feel sick and all that. But I am managing...

I understand how difficult it is to lose weight, but it will come down slowly after months or years of healthy habbits.

BTW, I cut taking sugar long ago when I turned 29, this year I have been vegan managing without taking milk also, although that collapsed because family makes food that has curd and stuff.

Still I work for my maintainance and its hardwork.

One of my family members commented that why she says she has no time I don't understand, wasting time on writing , reading articles and so called cryptos when she can just sit down get married and have the husband earn money.

That person did not understand that how much work it has been to keep myself engaged this way, and what oppurtunity this is to take off and set your life at a time when economy is doomed, climate change is looming and marriage is no longer needed, I meant you can find the right person if it comes your way and be happy with each others company without complicating it through marriage.

Ha...just my few satoshis on this. Also, sweating it out and losing weight is quite a life changing story that will win you respect(:, speaking out of experience. I have actually never been all that overweight, only that I had a slight belly, so I can't comment on people being seriously over weight and all...cheers

It is good to read you, and know what you have been through, and all that you are still fighting for makes me think that you are a woman with great strength.

There are many social stigmas on overweight lathes, age, that women must marry at a certain age, among other things.

But responding to the social ones should not be our reason for living, so I congratulate you for everything you have done in these last years. Certainly, physical exercise revitalizes, it is necessary, one feels better with it.

Learning about cryptography surely makes you free in many ways, and much better things will come to you, for being permanently in search of better things.

You didn't start late to do what you are doing, you started when you had to, with a mental maturity that makes you focus on what you want, and that for sure you are going to get.
