The life and two near deaths of Courcchini

Meet Courcchini everyone. She's a courgette, also known as a zucchini to some people. She didn't always look so healthy and happy. In fact she nearly died, not once but twice. Let me tell you about her story.

EARLY LIFE

Courcchini started life in her humble abode called Butter Box with Friend. They lived happily there for a few weeks till Master LUT split them apart and gave Friend away. Courcchuni was devastated. Not long after Friend was given away, Master LUT moved Courcchini to White Basin at The Living Room. As if losing her one and only friend wasn't bad enough, she had now lost the home they shared together.

Master LUT moved Courcchini to White Basin because it was larger than Butter House, and she was expected to produce offsprings there.

Normally the likes of Courcchini grow outwards taking up all the floor space and start reproducing very easily. But not Courcchini. It could be due to her missing her one and only Friend. It could have been she didn't like White Basin. It could have been her genes are configured differently. Or it could have just been her defiance against Master LUT for sending Friend away. No one knew what her problem was. No matter how much TLC Master LUT gave her, or tried to coax her, she refused to reproduce. She just kept on growing upwards instead of outwards.

FIRST DEATH

In the end Master LUT's patience ran out and gave up on Courcchine. That would be the end of her. She was to be banished to The Terrace and left to die!! The Living Room was nice and warm and you're protected from the sun and rain. The Terrace is totally different. Think The North in the Game of Thrones. Dark, cold, windy, creatures flying overhead, and the possibility of an airdrop attack. It was A Beast. Not a place a young lady wants to live on her own.

Alas, that was Courcchini's fate. Master LUT left her there to die. She battled against The Beast day in day out, her weak little body fighting off the harsh weather. It didn't take long before Wind got to her she had damages all over. She was truly on her way out.

()

And then miracle happened. Courcchini adapted to the harsh conditions, learnt how to protect herself from The Beast, and started to flourish. Despite Master LUT leaving her at The Terrace to fend for herself, she became stronger than before and even showed signs of reproduction. She had defied the odds and escaped death.

SECOND DEATH

Having survived a narrow death, and starting to flourish at The Terrace, Master LUT's TLC return and even came to visit Courcchini at The Terrace. She continued to stay at The Terrace as both Master LUT and Courcchini felt it was the best for her. However, conditions at The Terrace was still harsh, and although Courcchini was much stronger than before, it was still a battle between the lady and The Beast. The Terrace still wasn't totally friendly towards her. One night, Wind really lashed out at her, it was a mightly one and literally broke her to pieces. To say she was hanging on thin threads was an understatement. The Beast and Wind were really out to get her this time.

Courcchini was showing early signs of reproduction and had grown during her time at The Terrace. All this added a load to her weak and fragile body now. It was really a dire situation. At one stage it was suggested to put Courcchini out of misery and pain because no one thought she could possibly pull through. Luckily, Master LUT decided against it.

An urgent operation was needed, and a special bandage called Plastic Milk Bottle was called upon. This is a special bandage reserved for critical situations like these. To use this, you cut the relevant part from Plastic Milk Bottle, Handle was used in this case. A small section of Handle was cut and split open, and then carefully wrapped around Courcchini's wound. Plant Wire and Stick also came to offer their support. Courcchini had stabilised for the time being, but no one knew if she could make it through the next few days. It was a tense situation for everyone, especially Master LUT who had grown on Courcchini.

Here's Courcchini two days later. There was no sign of deterioration, perhaps there was hope she'd escape death again.

Another five days passed, and things were definitely looking good. Courcchini had even grown bigger. Worried that this may put pressure on her wound, Handle Bandage 2 and Stick 2 came to offer more support. Everyone could finally breath a sigh of relief now.

NEW HOME

Six day days later, Courcchini was definitely on the mend. She had grown bigger and there were strong signs of reproduction now. That being a good sign, but it was also the start of another worry. Due to the previous conditions, Courcchini had a weak base, and she was starting to outgrow White Basin. She needed a new home.

It was decided Orange Bucket would be suitable. Moving houses was a delicate task as Courcchini had been in White Basin for so long and she still had an injury. It took two people, Master LUT and Husband to do the job. After some careful uprooting and taking care not to cause more distress to Courcchini than needed, they finally moved her into Orange Bucket. Stick 3 decided to move in as well, so now Courcchini had Handle, Handle Bandage 2, Stick, Stick 2 and Stick 3 with her at Orange Basket. Everything was definitely looking good at last!!!

And that's the story of Courcchini and how she survived two near deaths. Her life is far from over yet, in fact it should just be starting. Flowers are appearing, and who knows, maybe soon she'll need Something for Babies!!!!

The Courcchini's story was very good. It is a very happy event that she has grown up in such a beautiful way despite being so harassed. When she moved from one bucket to another I thought it would be bad for his health but it didn't happen! She is healthy because you must have taken good care of her. The flower buds have come and after the flowers bloom, she will become more beautiful !!🥰

Thank you, I'm hoping she will grow some fruit, she'd done a lot better since being outside.

Heya Mate , all kinds of CURCUMBERS needs space to grow, give her a much bigger pot... also dont drop it against a wall, if a wind is coming up it will rub on the WOOD there and get broken again , it needs a lovley place where it is able to drop the plant.... it normally dont like it to grow much upü its more like a grow over the floor laughing ^^^

Also this looks like potting soil its mostly the wrong one, get out next time get a bucket of NORMAL sopil, mix it up with your potting soil and then you should be okay, also this 10litres pot is way to small to grow it nicely....

i will drop you after my post here a pic of mine ;)

Now you mention it, the soil did fell a bit sandy, this is a new brand I've never bought before, it did say multi compost .... I kept most of the original soil so I'm hoping that will help, but I will definitely add proper soil in, and move her further out.

I know she's grown too tall, so if there are babies I'll have to find some sort of crate or raised platform for it to grow, it will be a nice problem to have then.

Look forward to see you pic. Thanks for the advice.!

I had to look up what a Courcchini was. Apparently you name your plants. That is so cute haha. I especially lived reading it in third person, like a bedtime story. I think it’s really nice that you are fond of plants, an show them a lot of tender loving care. I’m sure they will grow to be fine with all that attention you give your plants.

How CUTE is Courcchini!!!!!! GO, COURCCHINI, GO! WE BET ON YOU, COURCCHI!!!

It is ADORABLE to see how you treat your plant as a being as YES, IT IS! I hope, from now on, she can keep on growing, hopefully on a bigger pot so she can also become a Courcchi Mama and have tons of beautiful Courcchi babies 💚
