Mushrooms Wrapped in Green Vegetables. Vegan Quick Bites You've Never Seen Before!
What would you do if you found delicious wild mushrooms?
I have mustard greens and also corn. Then I thought of combining them all.
If you only serve mushrooms by stir-frying, that's normal. Nothing special. I'm going to give these wild mushrooms a little different.
It's time for me to make something new. I thought about wrapping the stir-fried mushrooms and corn in green leaves.
Stir-Fried Mushrooms and Corn Wrapped in Mustard Greens
I only have mustard greens which are easy to find in the area I live in.
If you have a larger supply of other green leaves like lettuce, that's even better.
Lettuce is better than mustard greens for wrapping food. The texture of lettuce is more elastic than mustard greens.
So, I had to make the mustard greens slightly wilted so that they didn't broken when used for wrapping the mushrooms and corn.
Everything we need
- Mushrooms
- Corn
- Chopped Onions
- Chopped Garlic
- Red Chilli Peppers
- Seasoning: Salt, peppers, ground turmeric, vegetable broth (optional).
Cooking Instructions
- Step 1
Soak the mushrooms at least an hour before cooking. This applies to wild mushrooms from hard textured wood. If it's just common mushrooms, there's no need to soak the mushrooms.
- Step 2
Stir-frying the onions, garlic, and chilies. Then add complementary seasonings to taste, salt. Stir-frying until fragrant.
- Step 3
Then, add mushrooms, and corn. Add a little water. Then cook for about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 4
Before removing it, I add the mustard leaves for a while. Only once back and forth with the mushrooms and corn, then I lifted the mustard leaves. And finally, I picked up stir-fried mushrooms and corn.
- Step 5
It's serving time. Prepare the leaves. Then place the stir-fried mushrooms and corn on the leaves.
- Step 6
Carefully roll the mushrooms and corn with green vegetables.
- Step 7
Arrange the mushroom rolls on a serving plate.
These are quick bites that are easy to eat and delicious! I like to eat this one mushroom roll right away. The texture is fun and delicious!
