When I first came to Thailand, the first thing I worried about was halal food. As a Muslim, halal food is something I have to pay attention to when I have to leave my place of residence. But that didn't happen when I was in Thailand, in fact the Muslim population in Thailand is the second largest in the white elephant country, even though it's only under 5%.

It is a concern that the country of Thailand is on the rise in strengthening the halal food industry which is the largest exported in Asia and even the world. If you pay attention, Thai food which is famous throughout the world is halal food, for example; padthai, tomyam, som tam, massaman curry and many others.

Considering that during my trip to Thailand, I visited a lot of restaurants or street food in that country, it's not difficult to get delicious Thai food. When I first came to Bangkok, I visited the Chatuchak market for the first time. I happened to arrive on a Saturday, where the Chatuchak market is open on weekends. My friends and I wandered around looking for some things to buy and also enjoyed an afternoon at the famous Chatuchak market which is the biggest in the country.

When our stomachs feel hungry, I immediately take my friends to my favorite place to buy food in this market. There are lots of halal food at Chatuchak market, but this restaurant is my favorite because it has an interesting menu and tastes pretty good.

Saman Islam, located in one of the favorite places to eat in chatuchak market, provides a variety of Thai halal special menus that you can't miss, not only Muslims eat at this restaurant, everyone likes it. Selling various types of food from tom yam, beef noodle soup (tastes almost similar to vietnamese pho), khao soi and pad thai. In addition, they sell various desserts such as mango sticky rice and papaya salad.

I ordered pad thai and beef noodle soup to share with my friends, and didn't forget to also order rice so that my stomach can be filled very much, because our journey is still very long, we haven't even put our suitcases and check-in at the hotel.

A little review for the food we ordered, it tasted really authentic, the same as what I had tried the first time I went to Saman Islam. Using very aromatic spices, I really believe that I have arrived in Bangkok and tasted the delicious Thai food that I like. The pad thai here is really good, the composition of the flavors is just right, making the pad thai we ordered run out instantly. Spicy, sweet and sour which makes us want to add 1 more plate.

The beef noodle soup here is also not to be missed, the beef is tender and melts on the tongue, the fiber doesn't even feel like it's as if I'm eating a very soft cloud. Plus the broth from the soup is rich in taste, not too salty and also tasteless, it tastes really good on my tongue. With some toppings such as vermicelli, bean sprouts and deadly green leaves, if added with mint leaves it will be similar to Vietnamesse pho, the soup is very fresh and adds energy to us to continue our journey.

So, don't forget to stop at Saman Islam when you're at Chatuchak Market! Taste authentic Thai cuisine with a luxurious taste sprinkled with special spices!

See you the next time hive friends!

Hi there, @aswita. These pictures are lovely. I like the ambience of Saman Islam. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the abundance of halal food options available in Thailand, specifically at the Chatuchak market. The way you emphasize the authenticity and deliciousness of the Thai food available at Saman Islam, it really made me want to try it. 😃

It seems Thailand is home to a diverse range of cultures and cuisines. Have you tried other restaurants and street food vendors to get a wider range of experiences and taste on Thai cuisine? Thanks for sharing. 😊😊

I like Thai snacks, especially just buying the no pork and no lard ones. I like a lot of food in Thailand, one of which is fried chicken which is sold along the streets of Pratunam area. The thing that always makes me miss Thailand is all the food :D

It seems like Thailand is diverse in terms of their foods and other cultures. What do you mean by Halal? Does it mean that you can only eat food if it's permissible by your religious leaders or something? Sorry for the confusion, I'm not aiming to disrespect your traditions and cultures.
