Made these amazing Dhoklas during the lockdown just so that I shoot them for my blog.

This image is a series of 8 stacked images processed on Lightroom and edited on Photoshop

And here's What You'll Need to make these:

  1. Gram Flour - 1 Cup
  2. Sugar - 1/2 Tsp
  3. Salt - 1/2 Tsp
  4. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
  5. Eno Fruit Salt -1 Tsp
  6. Water

To Make The Syrup You'll Require:

  1. Mustard Seeds - 1/ 2 Tsp
  2. Green Chili - 5 Piece
  3. Curry Leaves
  4. Water - 1/2 Cup
  5. Coriander Leaves Chopped
  6. Lemon Juice - 3 Tsp

Procedure:

In A Bowl, Add In Gram Flour, Sugar, Salt, Turmeric Powder And Mix Everything Well, Then Gradually Add In Water And Mix Well. The Batter Should Be Slightly Semi Thick. Once Done Keep The Batter Aside For About 10 Mins.

Meanwhile Grease A Cake Tin With Oil And Heat A Pressure Cooker/Idly Steamer With Some Water Then Place A Stand Inside It And Let The Water Come To A Boil.

Just Before Pouring The Batter Into The Cake Tin, Add In Eno Fruit Salt And Give It A Mix.

Pour The Batter Into The Cake Tin And Then Place The Cake Tin Inside The Cooker/Steamer And Steam Cook It For About 25-30 Minutes On Medium Flame.

For The Syrup Heat Up A Pan With Some Oil, Add In Mustard Seeds And Once It Starts To Crackle, Add In Green Chilies And Curry Leaves After About A Minute Or So Add In Water, Salt, Sugar And Bring It To A Boil And Turn Off The Flame. Now Add In Lemon Juice, Coriander Leaves And Stir It Well.

Once The Dhoklas Reaches Room Temperature Take It Out From The Tin And Cut It Into Equal Squares, Now Pour The Syrup Evenly Over The Dhoklas And Let It Soak For Sometime.

Finally Garnish It With Grated Coconut And Coriander Leaves Which Is Optional And Then Well The Dhoklas Are Ready To Be Served
