Curry chicken in 3 steps
Break the routine and prepare a delicious juicy chicken with the aromas and flavors of Indian cuisine. You can be done in just 3 steps and surprise your family. This recipe is very easy and can become one of your favorites.
One of the best secrets that transform any food is the use of spices. The important thing is to know how to use them and in what quantities. Indian cuisine is very varied in spices, some of them being emblematic of its gastronomy, such as cumin, turmeric, coriander, pepper, mustard, nutmeg, chili, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves. Many of these spices are combined to elaborate the mixture known as masala, fundamental to give flavors to many of their meals.
If you are not a great adventurer to experience extreme flavors, this recipe is ideal as we will use some spices with more subtle flavors.
1 medium onion
1 small green bell pepper
1 small red bell pepper
2 tablespoons wheat flour
2 cups coconut milk
1/2 tablespoon mustard (sauce)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon turmeric
salt, cumin, black pepper, cinnamon
Add oil to a nonstick skillet and preheat. Add skinless chicken pieces one at a time. Season it with salt, cumin, and ground black pepper to taste. Brown all chicken pieces, remove from heat and set aside.
Use the same pan where the chicken was previously browned. Add a little oil and sauté the vegetables. When the onion is translucent, season with turmeric, and cinnamon. Add the wheat flour. Mix everything. Finally, add the mustard.
Lower the heat and add the coconut milk, stir and incorporate the previously cooked chicken pieces. Correct the salt, cover, and let cook for 20 minutes.
If you like a little spicy flavor, you can add a little chili pepper to the recipe. It will enhance the aromas and flavors even more.
As you can see, the chicken is very juicy. You can serve this dish with some rice.
