Surprise! This dessert is called Bakllava. Do not leave this untried. What is this dessert so sweet and so good? Where does it come from? Ok then, I tell you right away that the origin of this dessert is a little clear, but it is said that it was first invented in Central Asia, and then modified by many royal court kitchens. Baklava is a complex and multi-layered dessert. It consists of thin sheets of dough, as thin as they look like sheets, which are smeared with butter and dried for several hours. It is very possible, and it takes time to do it all yourself. But you can buy ready-made sheets of dough, if you are near a Turkish grocery store, ask and they will answer. Anyway if you want to make the dough yourself I will write you the recipe. The baklava I make is two main layers, and between a quantity of nuts.

For the dough (if you want to make it yourself if you do not buy ready-made):
1 kg of flour
4 egg yolks
1 whole egg
3 cups water with melted butter

1 kg of peeled and grated walnuts and 2 tablespoons of sugar

Ingredients of the syrup
3 cups water with sugar

1 and a half glass of water

Preparation: Sift the flour into a pan. We dig a hole in the middle. Add the egg yolks and water, adding slowly. Using a fork, mix the eggs with the flour until dough is formed.

We start working the dough by hand until it becomes a compact and homogeneous mass. Divide it into 40 small pieces and let it rest for around an hour.

Next, we start to open the petals one by one using starch in their quick opening.

We can open the noodles one by one but also 2 or 3 together, opening the pieces a little at first and placing them one on top of the other and then opening them through the noodles.

After we open the noodles, we let them dry a bit and then we put them in the pan.

After we have laid the first 20 noodles, we throw the peeled and crushed walnuts in the middle and continue like this until you have created 2 layers of walnuts. Forming 2 layers of nuts, the baklava becomes delicious.

Next, we cut the noodles that have come out of the edges of the pan with a knife.

We make the typical cutting of baklava in the shape of rhombuses, on top we throw the melted butter evenly.

Put it in the preheated oven at 150 degrees and bake it until the baklava has turned golden. To understand that the baklava is baked evenly and inside, that with a knife it is enough to lift the upper layers a little. If the color is golden then the baklava is ready.

Usually its full baking takes around 3 to 4 hours, lowering the temperature to 100 degrees for the last hour. Then we prepare the syrup, which should be thrown hot while the baklava is cold.

To prepare the syrup we use 3 cups of sugar and a half glass of water. After 12 hours if the baklava has completely absorbed the syrup, another syrup thicker than the first is prepared. Where 3 cups of sugar and a glass of water are needed.
