BISS of February- Cold Sandwich with sweet potato bread, vegetables and pickled beets. [EN] // [ES]

Last week when I shared with you the pickled beets recipe, my dear @lizelle invited me to show a sandwich that included them in the #Sandwiteer of February, and taking advantage that this week I prepared a delicious sweet potato sandwich bread, I did not want to miss the opportunity to share it with you, because the flavor that these delicious beets bring to a sandwich is simply great, not to mention the texture they have.



Personally I am one of those who think that a good sandwich always goes well at breakfast, or lunch and why not also at dinner, come on I love a good couple of slices of bread with something in the middle at any time hahaha, this delicious <a href="https://peakd. com/hive-120586/@fmbs25/a-witch-in-the-kitchen-sweet-potato-sandwich-bread-on-a-stick-in-the-kitchen-sweet-potato-sandwich-bread was perfect to prepare my dinner last night, after arriving so tired, the least I wanted was to get into the kitchen to elaborate a full dinner, so, Sandwich for everyone.



What I love about the sandwich besides how easy it is to prepare, is that we can add pretty much whatever we want to it, or whatever we have in the fridge hahaha. Join me as I show you how I prepare this simple, yet delicious sandwich with sweet potato bread and some pickled beets.

Ingredients



Preparation

  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes.
  • Cooking time: N/A.


We apply on a slice of sweet potato bread, the spicy cream cheese, a few slices of fresh tomato and onion, add pickled beets to taste, if you strain some mustard seeds and coriander much better.



We add a couple of slices of cooked leg ham, a couple of slices of a good bacon previously toasted, to give that crunchy contrast to this cold sandwich, we close with another slice of sweet potato bread with some more spicy cream cheese, and I put a touch of ketchup, because what is a good sandwich without ketchup?



The different textures between the fresh vegetables, the crunchiness of the bacon and the softness of the bread with the cheese, plus the contrasting flavors of this small but succulent sandwich, were the best way to close my hectic day yesterday, flavors, sweet, spicy, and hints of acidity made it really perfect for me.

La semana pasada que les compartí la receta de las remolachas encurtidas, mi querida @lizelle me invito a mostrar un sándwich que las incluyera en el #Sandwiteer de febrero, y aprovechando que esta semana prepare en delicioso pan de sándwich de batata, no quise dejar pasar la oportunidad y compartirlo con ustedes, porque realmente el sabor que le aportan estas deliciosas remolachas a un sándwich es sencillamente genial, eso sin contar la textura que poseen.



En lo personal soy de las que piensa que un buen sándwich siempre cae bien en el desayuno, o en el almuerzo y porque no también en la cena, vamos que amo un buen par de rebanadas de pan con algo en medio a cualquier hora jajaja, este delicioso Pan para Sándwich de Batata fue perfecto para preparar mi cena de anoche, después de llegar tan cansada, lo menos que quería era entrar a la cocina a elaborar una cena completa, así que, Sándwich para todos.



Lo que amo del sándwich además de lo fácil que es de preparar, es que podemos agregarle prácticamente lo que deseemos, o lo que tengamos en el refrigerador jajaja. Acompáñame y te muestro como prepare este sencillo, pero delicioso sándwich con pan de batata y algunas remolachas encurtidas.

Ingredientes



Preparación

  • Tiempo de preparación: 5 Minutos.
  • Tiempo de cocción: N/A.


Aplicamos en una rebanada de pan de batata, el queso crema picante, unas rebanadas de tomate fresco y cebolla, agregamos remolacha encurtida a gusto, si se cuelan algunas semillas de mostaza y cilantro mucho mejor.



Agregamos un par de lonjas de jamón cocido de pierna, un par de lonjas de una buena tocineta previamente tostada, para darle ese contraste crocante a este sándwich frio, cerramos con otra rebanada de pan de batata con algo más de queso crema picante, y le coloque un toque de kétchup, porque ¿Que es de un buen sándwich sin kétchup?



Las diferentes texturas entre los vegetales frescos, el crujiente de la tocineta y la suavidad del pan con el queso, más los contrastes de sabores de este pequeño pero suculento sándwich, fueron la mejor forma de cerrar mi agitado día de ayer, sabores, dulces, picantes, y notas de acidez lo hicieron realmente perfecto para mí.

Nice entry. Never thought of adding beets to a sandwich. We grow our own beets and pickle some of them, we add them to salad also with goat cheese, so good.
Next up, beets between 2 slices of bread. Yum
