My First Kulfi - Experience

Hi Hivers. How are you?

Just last week, I had kulfi, Indian ice-cream for the first time.

“Why did they serve us cheese?”
I almost asked my friend.

I love cheese but wasn’t expecting that at the end of our meal. It looked to me like three slices of red cheddar.

“That’s mango kulfi, Indian ice-cream”, she said.

The first spoon I had made me anticipate another. There was a rich taste of mango. There were small bits and pieces of almond and pistachio.

I went on to my second spoon. My taste buds became impatient. They went running and chasing spoon after spoon, slice after slice. There was nothing cheesy about it. Each time my buds tried to grasp the texture and flavour, they literally just melted in my mouth.
Luckily, I took a pic of it before eating. It smiled for the camera but laughed in my tummy.

Cheese! Oops!!! Kulfi!!!
