Potato pancake in Hungarian style / Placek ziemniaczany po węgiersku

Huge potato pancake, so big it takes up a whole plate, topped with stew, mushrooms, red and yellow peppers and parsley. I saw such a dish a few days ago in a small neighborhood restaurant and felt that I wanted to eat it. Sometimes I make potato pancakes at home, they are much smaller and I eat them usually sprinkled with sugar or with cream. But that is different from this dish.

Ogromny placek ziemniaczany, tak duży, że zajmuje cały talerz, polany gulaszem, pieczarkami oraz kawałkami czerwonej żółtej papryki i pietruszką. Takie danie zobaczyłam kilka dni temu w małej, osiedlowej restauracji i poczułam, że chcę je zjeść. Czasem robię placki ziemniaczane w domu, są one zdecydowanie mniejsze i jem je zazwyczaj posypane cukrem, albo ze śmietaną. Ale to co innego, niż ta potrawa.

Tak wyglądało wnętrze restauracji. Jest bardzo mała. Można tu kupić różne pierogi. Ruskie zmieniły nazwę na Ukraińskie 😉 a także dania obiadowe - kotlet, ziemniaki i surówka, różne zupy (np. pomidorowa, ogórkowa, chłodnik, rosół), krokiety, naleśniki z warzywami itp. Taka domowa kuchnia.

The decor of this place is very cozy, warm. I like the green accents, including a jar of plants reminiscent of a miniature Japanese garden.

Wystrój jest bardzo przytulny, ciepły. Podobają mi się zielone akcenty, w tym słoik z roślinami przypominającymi miniaturowy japoński ogród.

It's nice that there are no plastic cutlery here, they were replaced with wooden ones.

Fajnie, że nie ma tu plastikowych sztućców, zastąpiono je drewnianymi.

The potato pancake was very tasty, well seasoned and fried. A few months ago I ate Hungarian potato pancake in a milk bar and felt some artificial ingredients there, and this time it was prepared deliciously.

Placek był bardzo smaczny, dobrze doprawiony i usmażony. Kilka miesięcy temu jadłam placek ziemniaczany po węgiersku w barze mlecznym i tam czuć było jakieś sztuczne składniki, a tym razem przyrządzono go pysznie.
