Recently I was at a wedding and I thought that I will show you what dishes are served at a traditional wedding in Poland. It probably looks a bit different in each country. At this wedding, it was nice that at the beginning of the party we were given a menu with all the dishes we were supposed to have that evening. The menu was written in an interesting, artistic font, it looked very nice and the dishes on the menu seemed to be encouraging to try.

The first dish we got was a cream soup made of white vegetables, with a kale chip. I liked it very much, and this unusual addition of kale chips (you may remember, I once wrote a post on how to make such kale chips at home) was well baked and very nicely complemented the mild taste of the soup with its intensity.

The next dish was pork neck in a sauce with mashed potatoes and salad. Also a very tasty dish, it filled us for a long time.

Between hot dishes, you could put various salads, salads, cold cuts, cheese, stuffed eggs and bread on your plate. Besides, there was a good selection of cakes and pastries. I liked the swan-shaped puff cookie, I put it as the first photo in this post. On the inside, this cake had a delicious creamy filling.

Another warm dish was fish - salmon with baked potatoes and carrot salad. There was also a choice of cutlet de volaille with butter and cheese. These are classic dishes at Polish weddings - cutlet de volaille was also at all weddings in which I participated in the past.

After such a wedding, you can gain weight. Unless someone dances a lot and burns some calories on the dance floor ;) After eating a few lunch dishes, you can reach for more sweets. A piece of wedding cake or some other sweet cookies. I took the meringue with raspberry sauce and fruit. There were candles on the table, which created a nice atmosphere with the light dimmed.

The last warm dish at the wedding was borscht with a patty. They also served dumplings, but I went out for a while and when I came, unfortunately, I didn't get it. However, the food at this wedding was really good. It's nice to attend such a feast sometimes.
