Happy Saturday Hivers!

If I would ask you a question, what is your favorite street food in the Philippines, what would it be?

I know, I know street foods are not a healthy foods. In fact, there were many people who got sick because of too much eating street foods or their stomach are sensitive to that kind of food, luckily my tummy is ok, thank you so much God.

As much as possible, I look for a healthy foods because I am mindful to my health but honestly there would be a time that I am also craving a street food and it seems normal to me when my monthly menstruation is coming. I would not be surprised if there were days that I have a strong desire to eat street food specifically kwek-kwek.

I remember way back when I was still working in a manufacturing firm my officemates and I will always buy kwek-kwek everytime we got a chance to see kwek-kwek vendor. The quail eggs dip in a spicy sauce was so yummy that it's hard for me to resist myself from eating that food.

One time when I was in Alegria, I went to my favorite kwek-kwek vendor and bought some kwek-kwek to her. While I was eating I asked her if how many quail eggs she was able to sold everyday. She replied that it won't below 500 quail eggs everyday. I absolutely believe her because everytime I passed by to her food stall, she has many customers.

Kwek-kwek is made up of quail eggs and flour. How to make kwek-kwek? Check this out.

Step 1: Boil the quail eggs.

Step 2: Remove the egg shell. Mix flour with a small amount of water. Once already mixed put the quail eggs.

Step 3: Coat the quail eggs with flour and fry it with enough amount of oil.

Step 4: Remove it from the pan once it already turns into brown.

Kwek-kwek is more delicious when you dip it first in the spicy sauce before eating.

Have you tried eating kwek-kwek? How was the taste? Did you like it? Drop a comment below.

I thought the unhealthy sauce made stomach sick, not the food itself :)

In here I never try fried quail egg with flour. But here there is roll eggs serving with sauce like that too :)
