I'm back with a new homemade recipe.
I'll share my cooking recipe of a Mutton Tehari πŸ₯—πŸ›πŸ₯©.

Tehari is a very famous food in our country. We usually get and eat Beef Tehari. I have also made Beef Tehari before but today I tried Mutton Tehari for the first time. The recipe and ingredients of Beef Tehari and Mutton Tehari are very similar, only the meat is different. But I like Mutton Tehari better. I had a lot of fun eating it with my family.

Let's see how I cooked the Mutton Tehari at my home.

Ingredients & Steps to follow:

  • Onion and Green Chili

I first took some onions and then cut them into small pieces, along with some green chilies.

I have taken sour curd and lemon here because these two ingredients help to bring out the flavor and taste of the food.

I took some rice and mutton meat and cleaned it well and cut the meat into small pieces.

I have done this whole cooking with mustard oil because cooking with mustard oil increases the taste and aroma of the food. Also this oil is very healthy. Then I took a potato and I cut this potato into four pieces, along with it I took some whole spices, although I took special spices for this cooking. I took spices in a better quantity so that the taste of the cooking is more delicious.

First of all I took some oil in a pot, after heating the oil, I added the chopped onions and the spices.

Now when the onions are soft and the whole masala smells good then I added rest of the ingredients.

At this stage I added my special mutton Tehari masala, mutton and salt..

After mixing the mutton well with the masala, I added green chilies to it, those who eat more spice can add as much as they like.

At this point, I added sour curd, lemon, a tiny amount of water to the mutton so that the mutton can be cooked quickly. After adding everything, I minced the whole thing for around 10 minutes.

Then I added water so that the whole thing gets boiled perfectly and then I left the curry on the stove for the curry to get cooked.

I mixed some onion slices, green chilies, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf with rice and after adding some oil, I mixed them and I fried them for around 5 minutes first.

After around 5 minutes of frying them, I added water and I left them putting the lid on so that they gets boiled perfectly and gets cooked enough.

And here I got the meat part ready to be added in the rice.

When the rice and meat was cooked perfectly, I mixed them and I cooked them for around 5 more minutes in low temperature.

And the dish was ready to be served.

I served this dish with some salad and there were fresh chilies from our balcony.
It was really tasty and I'd say it's a perfect Mutton Tehari.
