Banana Leaves for my fish recipe
Good day food lovers!!!
How's everyone?I hope you are all doing great today.
For today's blog ,I will be sharing to you a simple fish recipe using a banana leaves.
It's a traditional way of cooking this recipe of some elders before according to my mother.
It's giving a unique aroma and taste to the food.People before are not using some seasoning ,unlike nowadays that a lot of seasonings granules or powder in the market.
We are still using this style of cooking fish everytime we had a small fish.
My mother told me that it more tastier when it's cooked in a clay pot but we don't have that kind of pot.
Dinahonang paksiw na isda
Ingredients
-Fish
-young banana leaves
-garlic
-onion
-venigar
-salt and seasoning to taste
-water
You can also add red pepper and black pepper.
I was'nt able to get a more younger banana leaves but still the banana leaves I got is still good.
Procedure
Clean the fish by removing what's inside it's body .Add the half amount slice onion and minced galric then add salt and a little bit of seasoning to taste coz we don't have ground pepper.
Add the half amount of spices you prepared in the pot.
Then start to cover the fish by rolling it with the banana leaves. Some people are using mango leaves and cocoa leave sbut I haven't trying it ,I only tried this banana leaves.
This is what I usually did for the small fish we had though I felt pity looking at this small fish but it only we can afford for now.Sibce we are still facing crisis and trying to budget our food allowance.
Then add the venigar and small amount of water.Anyway I usually not measuring what I added for my recipe ,I just estimated them hahaha.
Cook it in a medium fire for 10 minutes.
I am still using firewood coz we can't yet buy a refill for our LPG.Goid thing that we are living in the country side where we can get free firewood in our sorroundings.Tommorow I will gather some dried woods so we can have more stocks coz I can feel that the rainy season will be started.
After 10 minutes ,our fish recipe is ready to serve.
And that's it for our quick and easy recipe today.
I hope you learn something from my blog ,have a great day everyone thanks for your time.
Have a blessed Monday!
