Do you ever desire to just have something spicy as a side option with your favorite cold drink to wash it down? Then you are in the right place because I have something to share with you. Just say yes and have it prepped.

I call it my peppered turkey and chicken mix. Trust me, this will have you licking your hands or cutleries as the case may be. Without further ado, I would say this made the list of my top favorite sides to munch on.

Recipe
Let’s jump right in. You need:

  1. Spring Onion
  2. Onion
  3. Red Bell Pepper
  4. Yellow Bell Pepper
  5. Green Pepper
  6. Turkey
  7. Chicken
  8. Salt
  9. Blended Fresh Pepper
  10. Garlic
  11. Crayfish
  12. Groundnut oil
  13. Seasoning Spice (of your choice)

Preparation Technique

  • For the Base Sauce
  1. Divide the red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, green pepper into two portions or halves.
  2. Use one portion for the base sauce and set aside the other portion or halves.
  3. Chop the onions, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, green pepper, fresh pepper, and diced garlic (according to your taste) and blend them together with small water at the base.
  4. This would form the base sauce.
  • For the Chicken & Turkey
  1. Wash the chicken properly, Steam with salt, diced onion, blended fresh pepper, diced garlic, and seasoning spice till chicken is properly cooked and soft enough for consumption.
  2. Repeat the same process for the turkey but in a different pot.
  3. Drain out the chicken and turkey stock (the water from the steamed chicken and turkey) and mix both stocks together.
  • For the Mixture
  1. Put a small amount of groundnut oil in a clean dry deep pot.
  2. Add a little diced onion and diced garlic to it and stir.
  3. Immediately add the chicken and turkey stock into the pot and stir.
  4. Allow to steam for 2mins, then add the blended base sauce and cook for 10mins
  5. Add the steamed chicken and turkey to this and mix properly
  6. Add slices of the red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and green bell pepper that were earlier set aside into this mix and stir.
  7. Allow to steam for 5mins.
  8. Add blended crayfish and remove after 2mins.
  9. Garnish by sprinkling chopped spring onions all over the mix.
  10. Food is set and ready to go!
