Mackerel Masala Fry - Mangalore Special

Mackerel Masala Fry is locally known as Bangude masala fry. It's one of the famous dishes in Mangalore. And trust me, it's very easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • Oil
  • Fish
  • Red Chilli
  • Tamarind
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Onion
  • Green chilli
  • Garlic
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Salt

Instructions:

  1. Put the red chilli, turmeric, tamarind and salt in a grinder and make a paste.
  2. Now marinate the cut fish with a bit of the paste and leave for an hour.
  3. After an hour, take a pan and heat oil and then fry the marinated fish and keep aside.
  4. Take a vessel and heat oil.
  5. Fry the cut onion and garlic.
  6. Once brown, add the remaining left over masala and stir well.
  7. Now carefully add the fried fish.
  8. Let it cook for a while.

Boom! Your Mackerel Masala Fry is ready to be served!

(P.S: Sorry for the bad pictures, was my first time cooking fish so was excited)
