I made Kuy-Tiev K'Chap today for the first time, and I wanted to share with all of you on Hive. I never made it by myself before, I only buy it to eat when I lived in my country, Cambodia.

I don't know what it's called it in English, but my husband speak English-Cambodian, he say translate to "stuffed noodles". Normally, this food used pork meat but I change it to Ital recipe because it’s more delicious and better for health.

Ingredients For batter

  • 1/2 cup rice flour

After 30 minutes we can make it. Heat pan and spread oil on the pan, then take a spoon and spread the batter very thin. After a minute we look at it, if it like this we can take it outside.

Spread oil on your plate before you take it out of the pan, or maybe it's too sticky. Normally, these noodles they steam it, but now some people in Cambodia do it like me because it’s easier to make at home. But the people make it to sell in the store or market, they steam it.

Put filling on big noodles and close it. This food we can eat with cucumber, lettuce, basil, mint, bean sprouts and vegetables as you like.

I prepare vegetables in the bowl, and I cut the stuffed noodles, then I put sweet sauce and mix up together. Now I can eat, it’s delicious and Ital 😋.

@JustinParke here on behalf of the ReggaeJAHM Community.

Absolutely incredible Ital chefery on display. If Suriname doesn't add this to their country's culinary history, they will be missing out dearly. This reminds of Indian Dosa and Ethiopian injera a bit too. For the first time, I would say this was a big win!!
