PIG FEET, CHEESE ICE-CREAM, SPICIEST PERUVIAN FOOD..?

Picanteria La Nueva Palomino dance before lunch!

The meaning of picanteria, a place serving Picante (“spicy”) a one-plate dish of various stews.

Great music with the lively dance. That was fun! You can’t beat the decoration of all the picanterias. It makes you feel like home, warming and welcoming. It’s unique and colorful.

Chicha de Jora – Peruvian corn beer (S/ 18) at Picanteria La Nueva Palomino

Thier chica de jora was freshly homemade and delicious! The purple corn drink that’s fermented with some sugar for a few weeks and bamn! A carbonated sweet and sour drink that’s purple!

Picante at a Picanteria

As mentioned, it's a one-plate dish of various stews. We ordered Super Picante (S/ 50) at Picanteria La Nueva Palomino was yum and HUGE! We literally couldn't finish it.

The dish also came with the famous Peruvian rocoto relleno or stuffed chili too. It's claimed to be one of the spiciest Peruvian food but uh oh.. I didn't think it was spicy enough. Plus pastel de papa, beef stew, sarza of pork feet, white rice, torrejita, cogollo of chica or corn. All yum!

Our experience at Picanteria La Nueva Palomino

Great food, good service and I got a bit tipsy from that delicious corn beer. Happy happy. No one judges it better than your own taste… I do recommend Picanteria La Nueva Palomino while in Arequipa, Peru 🙂

UPDATE: My new record! 108 people joined during the premiere!

I was so excited! A month ago, I was already cried with joy to see 30 people joined. Today, this number has raised and I'm real proud. The 12 hours editing 12-minute video was totally worth it if the channel continues to grow.

Amazing vlog! I looooove Peruvian and Thai food, and your face before eating, hahaha! The rocoto relleno I had in Arequipa was not picante either. The raw rocoto peppers are hotter! =) You can find them at local markets and make salsa by yourself. Its scale is a bit like the habanero or Thai chili~❤❤❤

Yeah, I got a trick from the viewers to eat it raw also. Next time in Peru, I will have the raw ones with me at all time so I can have it with meals. Thanks for watching! Mean a lot! :)

Since I discovered how healthy spicy is, I try to consume it daily. I've read that it's good for the metabolism, for releasing toxin and for the libido. ;). There are many countries in Latin America with excellent peppers: Mexico and Peru are two of those countries. When you go to Brazil ask to be shown a spicy one made with bachaco and mango. I've been told it's delicious but slow dying. Hahaha. And then tell us about it here. Thank you for sharing your travels and your experiences, Bella. Hugs

Healthy huh? Good to know! I eat spicy all the time like, literally addicted. 'bachaco and mango'? Will try to remember that. Thanks for checking the post out <3
