I finally started playing dCity and love it 😄 dCity Review (Blockchain-based "Sim City" game)

Ich habe vor kurzem mit dCity angefangen und es gefällt mir sehr gut. Es fühlt sich so wie die meisten Krypto-Games wie Investieren an 😂

Wer es noch nicht kennt, es ist ein "Sim City"-ähnliches Spiel auf der Hive-Blockchain mit einem eignen Token (SIM). Ziel ist es, eine Stadt aufzubauen, indem man Karten kauft, die Gebäude, Industrie, Gewerbe, öffentliche Einrichtungen oder auch Bewohner repräsentieren.

Schafft man es unter die Top 400 Player (gemessen an der Einwohnerzahl der Cities), nimmt man an der Ausschüttung des Reward-Pools teil.

Die Stadt generiert aber auch je nach wirtschaftlicher Situation täglich Einkommen in SIM, das man wiederum in neue Karten investieren oder in HIVE oder andere Kryptos wechseln kann.

Es gibt auch einen Marktplatz, wo man Gebäude-Karten traden kann oder man kauft randomisiert neue Karten zu einem Fixpreis, ähnlich wie Booster-Packs bei Splinterlands.

Das Konzept ist für Krypto-Nerds genial, hat aber auch noch Verbesserungspotential, da man mit der derzeitigen Tokenomics relativ unrealistische Städte / Dörfer mit zum Beispiel hunderten Casinos, Bars, Hotels bauen kann, die dann trotzdem Einnahmen generieren, was in der Realität sicher nicht funktionieren würde.

Ein weiterer Kritikpunk, der für fast alle DApps und Krypto-Games gilt, ist, dass dCity nicht wirklich dezentral ist, sondern es basiert auf einer zentralen Datenbank / Server / Website, verwendet aber Krypto-Zahlungen (HIVE) und einen Blockchain-basierten Second-Layer Token (SIM) auf der Hive-Engine.

Sehe mein "Investment" in das Spiel daher eher als Investment/Spende an den Entwickler, da es einfach ein tolles Krypto-basiertes Game ist, mit viel Potential auch eine größere Community außerhalb der Hive Blockchain anzusprechen.

Wie gefällt euch das Konzept hinter dCity? Warum hat es immer noch so wenig Spieler?

I recently started playing dCity and I really like it. It feels a bit like investing as most crypto games do 😂

For those who don't know dCity yet, it's a "Sim City"-like game on the Hive Blockchain with its own token (SIM). The goal is to build a city by buying cards that represent buildings, industry, commerce, public facilities, or even residents.

If you make it to the top 400 players (measured by the population of the cities), you participate in the distribution of the reward pool.

Depending on the economic situation, the city also generates daily income in SIM, which can be invested in new cards or exchanged for HIVE or other cryptos.

There is also a marketplace where you can trade building cards or randomly buy new cards at a fixed price, similar to booster packs in Splinterlands.

The concept is prefect for crypto nerds, but also has room for improvement, since you can build relatively unrealistic cities / villages with, for example, hundreds of casinos, bars, hotels with the current tokenomics, which then still generate revenue, which would certainly not work in real life.

Another point of criticism that applies to almost all DApps and crypto games is that dCity is not really decentralized, it is based on a central database / server / website, but uses crypto payments (HIVE) and a blockchain based second layer token (SIM) on top of Hive-Engine.

I see my "investment" in the game more as an investment/donation to the developer, as it's just a great crypto-based game with a lot of potential to appeal to a larger crypto community outside of the Hive Blockchain as well.

How do you like the concept behind dCity? Why does it still have so few players?
