How did the spirit of cooperation contribute to education in Japan?

It was a visit to one of my relatives to do a PhD in Japan
And through which he explained to me a very strange and fruitful education system which I will try to communicate to you in one or two articles.

This is A My Second Impression about the Japanese education .

Team spirit, teamwork, order and responsibility

The Japanese education system focuses on developing the sense of community and responsibility of pupils and students towards society, starting with the surrounding school environment, such as maintaining school buildings, educational tools, school furniture, and more. It is known that Japanese schools keep the school clean.

The first thing that astonishes the Japanese school visitor is the presence of light sneakers at the entrance to the school building arranged in a closet or wooden shelves that bear each shoe the name of its owner, where students should take off their regular shoes and wear these clean light shoes inside the school building. This habit is found in most primary and middle schools and many high schools as well.

The student at the end of the school day sweeping and cleaning the classrooms and even vacuuming and wiping the corridors with wet cloths. And more than that, washing the toilets and collecting the falling leaves, without feeling bad, whether from students or teachers. In addition, children provide food for the animals or birds that the school raises, as there is no "guard" or "bed" character.

Cleaners

In Japanese schools, there are no cleaners, so students, students and teachers take it upon themselves to clean the school and beautify its internal and external appearance.
The height of this responsibility, team spirit, cooperation and self-reliance are evident when eating a meal at school.

In the classroom

Within the classroom this spirit is also evident not only in the food and hygiene working groups, but also in the study groups that the teacher creates when pupils or students are asked to answer some questions or solve an issue such as in mathematics or do some work or activities for the class, and after consultations The group among them announces one of this group in its name completes this task.

Finally, at the end of the school day, the students hold a group session where they meet and ask themselves whether they have completed their work today to the fullest or not. Or are there deficiencies in their work? Or were there any problems?
There is no doubt that this method of education targets the spirit of the group and carries responsibility, commitment and leadership, and it also constitutes a psychological deterrent force to curb inappropriate social behaviors towards society and others.
