INSTANT COMMUNICATION MEDIA AS A LEARNING TOOL FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION

This new reality that we are experiencing as a society forces us to look for appropriate tools in the educational field to implement distance pedagogical attention in order to guarantee the right to education for our students.

Faced with this reality, we have become familiar with a communication application widely used today called WhatsApp as a learning tool since the fact of distance teaching is unavoidable and indispensable and certainly the wahatsapp is a very versatile tool among student parents who use it daily, which facilitates distance education through this medium as a teacher.

This means of communication is widely used by society and today it has become more essential for communication with family friends, students and teachers due to the covid-19 pandemic, as this instantaneous means of communication has allowed in a very practical way contact between family members and friends and today it is also used in schools to impart content ideas feedback between teachers parents and students.

WhatsApp is used as a learning tool for the evaluation of distance work and its basic functions in these moments of confinement are very important to direct education in students because in this context online-education is a tremendous tool as an alternative of communication very practical given the impossibility of face-to-face classes.

Particularly one of the applications that I use the most in these moments of distance education as a work tool is this Whasapp application which I consider to be a perfect communication channel to carry out educational work at a distance and in a group since parents and representatives they are also forced to and interact in the process that I am carrying out with my students

This application allows us to create learning and study groups and through these groups we pass instructions or resources such as: videos, images, audios and links to apply daily activities. For example, through the audios we can guide content perfectly which will allow students to appreciate the tone of voice of the teacher and listen in detail to each explanation of what you really want to convey.

In the same way, we can do classes directly and record videos with specific explanations. WhatsApp is an ideal medium to send these videos and make them available to each student.

Although we have been using certain technological applications in our face-to-face classes, today it has become more acute because we only depend on it as a learning tool to carry out the teaching process.

In these moments of pandemic whasapp is one of the most used applications in distance education and offers us several advantages as an alternative means because in the context of online education it is motivating and participatory since it motivates parents and representatives to work together and get involved in the education of their children.

As teachers we take advantage of new alternatives and we look for work tools to make it possible for the educational context to be given the best options and that our students can feel motivated and responsible in the face of the present situation that really involves us all in looking for real alternatives that may be of profit to the desired objective.
