Hello my beautiful people of Hive, as a preschool teacher I always recommend to the representatives of my little learners the importance of cultivating in their sons and daughters the habit of reading, personally I have been able to realize how reading skills play a determining role in the psychological development of children, therefore it is our task as adults to generate all the conditions for the encouragement of our children to read.

Many will ask how can I achieve such a thing?

In the same way as they like to have toys to have fun in special places we can generate in their room a space of equal importance to them containing colorful books that they are interested in the first place to see and be distracted in their childish images and then we read them to them with much delivery and that the content calls their attention, read them as many times as they ask for them because listening to us will also improve their language and interest in learning to read to realize themselves of these beautiful stories.

One of the aspects that we have to take care of is that we must be interested in their taste in books, that is to say, let them explore, open the books and be interested in their images and their history, then go home and get used to read those books with them, whether we do it at first and then encourage them that they can also do it, many times these books relax them before going to bed.

It is important to create a routine or rather a habit of reading daily, they themselves will choose the hours. This can be done by taking turns between parents, so that when one of them cannot read, the child does not feel uncomfortable because he/she has done it with both parents.

Let's remember that before we were adults we were children and I loved to be read or told a story by my mom or dad every night and I was passionate about reading since I was very young because I was fascinated by stories about princesses and where there was always a happy ending.

I recommend that you make time for this in a way that you can take turns and you will see how your children's skills improve in a comprehensive way, something that both teachers and parents want, and there is nothing more pleasurable than for them to read to their younger siblings as a multiplier effect.

This is one of the things that as mothers we must ensure at home, that our children can create a reading habit according to their ages, this will ensure that they are emotionally formed and prepared with reading skills.

That's right dear friend @alaiza, that's why we must cultivate that habit at an early age.
Thank you very much for commenting.
