SNOW and Studio Walls - Monday
It started snowing about 9 am and it grew to a dump quickly. Within a little over an hour the front had moved past and we got a few bouts through out the day but the first line was the heaviest. It dropped a bit over 1.5 inches in that hour.
The chickens were seeming a bit miffed as they stood in the garden as they grain was all covered by the snow.
In the afternoon after R's preschool I got back at the walls of the studio and got the lower part of the other walls covered. I had to go charge the batteries before I could keep going so had to take a break for a while which was annoying as I was on a role. I had the angled pieces cut and was just about to put them up when the drill died.
The upper center section was the last main area to put insulation in and sheetrock on.
The ducks had exposed a bunch of the grain and were in their typical mob.
While I waited for the batteries to charge I went around and dug out my couple of pieces of my electrical test gear. My Fluke 99 Scopemeter and my Elenco function generator as I will likely be needing them with the SDR and my new antenna.
Once the batteries were charged I installed a board to extend the surface so I would have something to screw the sheetrock to on that side.
I cut one length of hte 3.5 inch insulation in half lengthwise and then in lengths to fit the gaps. I had to use only one of the other pieces I had to fill it in.
The sheet rock is up and I have only 4 more pieces that I need to finish the walls completely. I'm hoping I have enough to finish the ceiling since I have 7 pieces. I do have a spare piece in the coop but it is thicker. If I need it I have though and it is the ceiling so no one would notice it being different.
This morning I have already been to drop off 120 pounds of acorn squash, R has school and his mattress delivers along with my new disc cone antenna and RTL-SDR. I need to get the wire run into the studio and a breaker box put in which I will have to scavenge for since all I have is a 100amp service panel that I can think of off hand, so I can finish the last section of wall insulation and sheetrock.

I enjoy watching the progress on your studio.
Looking good, it looks like that new section of scaffolding is coming in handy.
It was one of the better purchases I have made in a while. Super handy already and I have plans for it around the farm for better weather.
Nothing like getting your money's worth from any purchase!!
It's amazing how different it looks with the sheetrock up. I noticed the same thing in the addition.
