Ecotrain QOFTW - If you could choose, what would you incarnate as in your next life.

You shouldn't think too much about reincarnation, you just have to do that.

My "Fantasy" was triggered

When I saw this post in my followers feed, my 'fantasy' was triggered. Because I have always found reincarnation an interesting fact. And let me put it this way, I certainly also believe in reincarnation. Before that I too often had moments where I was in a place where I had never been before, and where I still 'knew' things that I actually couldn't know.

As a child I had some experiences

An example of this is years ago when I was a child together with my parents in a small town in the Province of Friesland. I was about 9 years old and never been there. When we walked through the small old center I suddenly said to my mother. "Oh I just want to go to that little old sweet shop on the next left on the corner". My mother looked at me and said, "Girl you don't know if there is a sweet shop there." For a moment I didn't understand what she meant and said, "Yes, Mom, in the next street on the left on the corner with those cozy windows and old cow bell above the door".

My father decided to actually walk down the next street and show me that I was completely wrong. But great was their surprise when there was indeed an old, cozy little sweet shop there, and an old cow bell hung above the door. The interior of the shop was antiques, they only sold old candy types and the shop appeared to have existed for literally YEARS. It had always passed from father to son and, according to the then owner, had been in the family for more than 140 years.

I didn't understand this until many years later

I was totally unaware of the surprise of my parents at the time, but later I understood of course that it was a bit 'strange' to say the least that I knew this for sure, while I had never seen the entire village of my life and even lived more than 300 km away.

At that point, I didn't think about it. But years later, when the concept of reincarnation became known to me, I often wondered whether I might have had a memory from one of my past lives there in that place.

This aside, but it might show how it is that I have become interested in reincarnation, and believe it is happening!

Back to the QOTW

Which brings me back to the question of the week. If I could choose, what would I reincarnate as in my next life.

And that question is not as easy to answer as it seems. Because the more I think about it, the more difficult this question actually gets. There are so many possibilities, But everything I come up with has many advantages but also disadvantages!

Would I want to be human again?

Reincarnating as a person gives the opportunity to pick up things that I have not done well in my life and to do very differently. But reincarnating as a human being also entails many obligations that I am not so sure I would want to do ANOTHER. And when I look at what kind of world we live in now, where we seem to be heading ... then I am not at all so sure that I would want to return as a human being. The future does not seem so bright at the moment as we are deprived of many freedoms by various circumstances. Looking at the world politically it doesn't look so rosy either, and the Artificial Intelligence that is being used in more and more things sometimes even seems to be taking on frightening forms. Where has the time gone when children were still real children and played outside in the street with a simple elastic and a rope? Nowadays you see children from a young age walking around with smartphones and whatsapp with each other. Playing games on those phones and being the real child where they play "Tag and Hide and Seek" is something I don't often see happening anymore. Times are changing very very fast!

So reincarnate as a human being in this rapidly changing world where I am not convinced that this is all for the better? I'm not so sure yet.

Or would I choose to be dog?

Then you start thinking further… and yes of course I am a great lover of dogs. And MY dogs are well. Would I like to reincarnate as a dog? Hmmm there you ask me something. And to be fair, my answer is “NO”. Of course I see that my dogs have a good life ... they get everything they need. And I leave them in their worth, they can be dogs and that also means that they can dig, run, dirty my floor 13 times a day when they come back in with their dirty mud feet ... and name everything you like dog can do. Yes of course they are sometimes naughty, yesterday Lana managed to steal a piece of walnut cake from me. But that does not change, they are my dogs and how sweet and good I am to them. In general, I also want them to listen. When we are walking I decide where to walk, I am the one who holds their lines, I am the one who decides whether they can run loose or stay on a leash. And I am also the one who decides what to eat, when to eat, when we go for a walk, etc. A life as a dog can be very luxurious, but in the end it comes down to always having to listen. And you only have that luxurious life when you end up with people who love you and respect you for what / who you are. If you have to live as a street dog or if you are being abused, your life will look bad. So reincarnate as a dog? Hmmm no. I am too free-spirited a person to want to.

Maybe a Tiger?

The next thing that came to mind was a Tiger! I really love Tigers. Think they are fantastic animals and as a child I dreamed of a Tiger for myself for a long time. But let me be honest, with all the knowledge I now have about how people interact with Tigers… it is certainly not ideal to want to come back as a Tiger. We hunt them, shoot them and shrink their habitats. We no longer respect the power of the Tigers at all. No it is not.

A proud, powerful Bird of Prey!

So after much thought… I decided that if I could choose I would reincarnate as a beautiful proud bird of prey. I would have the freedom because no one tells me what to do. I could go anywhere I want, and I would provide for my own living. Which also gives me that great degree of freedom that I long for. Gliding through the air, looking at everything around me… being able to get anywhere, but especially no one telling me what to do. Powerful but not powerful, living my own life in complete freedom. Both on the ground and in the air. The entire universe would be mine for the duration of my life. Independence and freedom and a partner that I lived with. That would be my life ... like a beautiful proud powerful bird of prey.

Thank you for setting up this QOFTW, I found it very interesting and fun to think about this consciously. I hope you enjoy this entry as much as I enjoyed writing this entry.

Thank you @silversaver888 ... Yes, I always feel a kind of freedom when I see the birds of prey, and that feeling is what I cherish. Freedom of choice.

Benjamin Franklin said that the noble TURKEY should be the "national bird" FWIW 😉😉😉

That is a freaky story, about the sweet shop with the cowbell over the door! 😮

And the only thing about being a bird of prey is eating icky stuff like mice... 😝 LOL

Lol, thanks for your reply ... Yes a Bird of Prey has to hunt mice to survive. That's a difference with being a human and eat all kinds of animals like cow, chicken, goat, rabbit, turkey, deer, and all that. And even without the need to survive because a human really does not need to eat animals to survive.

I totes don't really buy into "reincarnation theory" but if I could,
I would come back as a Triple Crown winning STUD HORSE
that is in his prime breeding days... 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

What Real Man in his right mind would select any other?

So you would let people determine when you could mount a so-called phantom mare. Not so nice life ahead, except that you would be kept up to perform ... and that you would then be allowed to mount the phantom mare every 2 or 3 days to fill a straw. The real mares are fertilized from the straw and usually not by the stallions.

😱

Or you should be a wild stallion and live in your own herd of mares. But then you wouldn't have been triple crowned. And you would have to fight a lot ...

🤷‍♀🤷‍♀🤷‍♀

American Thoroughbreds were ALWAYS performing the task...
May have changed now, but bulls have pretty much been done
with a straw. In this country. I knew some horse people. Also,
have you ever heard of the Kentucky Derby? I'm in Indiana,
just north of there. Lots of breeders reside in southern Indiana
and Northern Kentucky 🐴

As far as a wild stallion, sounds good except the fighting part.
I'm a lover, not a fighter 💞💖💕💝

Oh yes, I have definitely heard of Kentucky Derby. In fact, it has long been a dream to be able to be there one day. I have ridden myself for years and have always had a lot of interest in equestrian sports. Indiana is of course known for the many horse breeders. As far as that goes, you are certainly in a good part of America. Even now that I no longer ride a horse myself, I still have a lot of interest in equestrian sports ... and from a photographic point of view it is MORE than an interesting sport. Every part of the equestrian sport is very photogenic. So well ... that Kentucky Derby, it still remains on the wishlist to ever be there.
