Playing Music on Our Plants

I know most of you probably know that music does a role in plant growth. But this might seem odd for people who have no idea about it. Do plants have ears? Can they hear sound?

As strange as it sounds, yes, music does help in boosting the growth of plants. This isn't just a hearsay but is backed by science and various research. The vibration of the sound waves is what stimulates the growth and so it is also very important to be aware of what music to play for your plants! They say jazz and classical songs are the best music for plants.

Last May, I've been searching for some easy ways to help our tomato plants grow faster and I remember about the experiments I've watched before on Discovery channel about music and plants. The next day, I took my bluetooth speaker (which I don't use but now becomes useful) and put it next to the tomato plants and onions. I was kind of hiding the speakers behind the plants at first because people at home might find me weird for playing music on our plants. Lol. (I used an old ice cream cover as the base of my speaker when I put in on the ground so the speaker doesn't catch a lot of dirt.)

The change isn't noticeable on the first few days, but after five days the tomato plants were growing taller faster than ever! It grows more than an inch everyday. It was a fun sight to see! After about a month and a half, it had outgrown the lemon plant and is now also almost as tall as me. Haha!

Aside from that, the onions which we thought were dead, because it hasn't shown any signs of growth for weeks, began sprouting leaves!

I am now very much convinced with the power music holds! It can heal, motivate, spark love, spark war, make you sad, etc. ❤️

These are the music I always play on my plants. I play it alternately while I water them and do other garden activities!
