The good news amidst the pain...Loh 296

"If this injection is supposed to help me, why does it have to hurt first?"

An image of me

That was the question that crossed my mind during one of my hospital visits.

Between the several injections and drips, I grew tired of the needles, every prick from it made me uncomfortable, and I found myself wishing that recovery could happen without the pain.

But as at then I realized something simple, that the syringe wasn't there to hurt me rather it was there to help me heal.

The pain lasted for a few seconds, but the medicine kept working long after the sting was gone.

That changed how I looked at my situation.

Life is often like that, we all go through seasons that are uncomfortable losing opportunities, waiting for answers, facing disappointments, or dealing with sickness.

We naturally focus on the pain because it's what we fee but sometimes, the good news is already at work, even when we can't see it.

For me, the injection became a reminder that not every painful experience is against us.

Some pain is part of the healing process. If I had refused the syringe because of the sting, I would have also refused the medicine my body needed.

That lesson stayed with me even after I left the hospital

To everyone reading this, if you're in a difficult season, don't judge the whole journey by the pain you're feeling today.

Healing takes time, and growth is often uncomfortable as it is a gradual process so keep taking one step at a time, and trust that the season won't last forever.

Sometimes, the good news isn't that life is free from pain.

Sometimes, the good news is that healing is already happening even through the very thing that hurts.

I tend agree @bbscribe94, Some of our biggest life lessons begin with some pain.
Seen both sides as a Nurse for over 25 years giving and now retired taking injections.

Yes, most of our life lessons are from the pains we experience
