The Ladies of Hive questions are getting more and more interesting, haha. Today's question really got me thinking because, while it’s true that nowadays we carefully curate what we post—and social media feeds are filled with "perfect" lives and unnecessary luxuries—we all had our moments of immaturity back in the day.
Las preguntas de Ladies of hive cada vez son más interesantes jeje, y las de hoy me pusieron a pensar porque si bien es cierto que hoy en día elegimos muy bien lo que vamos a publicar y el feed de las redes sociales está lleno de vidas “perfectas” y lujos innecesarios, en su momento todos tuvimos nuestros momentos de inmadurez.
1️⃣ If your camera roll could tell your life story, what would it reveal about you? Forget the carefully chosen Instagram photos for a moment. Think about the random pictures, screenshots, selfies, places, meals, people, and little everyday moments you have captured. What would someone learn about you just by scrolling through your camera roll?
1️⃣ Si el carrete de tu cámara pudiera contar la historia de tu vida, ¿qué revelaría sobre ti? Olvídate por un momento de las fotos de Instagram cuidadosamente elegidas. Piensa en las imágenes aleatorias, capturas de pantalla, selfies, lugares, comidas, personas y pequeños momentos cotidianos que has capturado. ¿Qué aprendería alguien sobre ti con solo desplazarse por el carrete de tu cámara?
Lately, I’ve been capturing a lot of nature photos with my camera—finding myself surrounded by trees and greenery, whether through countryside outings or other circumstances. Above all, though, I’ve captured beautiful, special moments with my loved ones. Anyone would likely assume I love both nature and my family and friends, and they’d be right; I’m someone who loves savoring every second of existence. Love is my motto—a universal love that embraces everything around you (family, friends, animals, nature, and so on)—because the more you fill yourself with this feeling, the better life treats you. I love sharing happy moments because they become a sort of tangible memory that lasts a lifetime; that’s why I always documented every stage of my daughters' growth. Nowadays, I enjoy using my camera to capture whatever catches my eye and whatever I wish to immortalize forever—like the outing I went on with my sisters a few months ago; the three of us had a wonderful time.
Últimamente he capturado muchas imágenes de naturaleza con mi cámara ya que por alguna razón me he visto entre árboles y vegetación, bien sea porque me invitan al campo o por alguna razón, pero también, sobre todo he capturado momentos hermosos y especiales con mis seres queridos, así que probablemente cualquiera pensaría que amo la naturaleza y también a mi familia y amigos y no se equivocan, soy de las personas que ama disfrutar cada segundo de su existencia, amar es mi lema, el amor universal incluye todo lo que te rodea (familiares, amigos, animales, naturaleza etc) porque mientras más te llenas de este sentimiento mejor te trata la vida. Yo amo compartir momentos felices porque son como una especie de memoria tangible que queda para toda la vida, por eso siempre compartí cada etapa del crecimiento de mis hijas y pues hoy en día me gusta capturar con mi cámara todo aquello que llama mi atención y deseo inmortalizar para toda la vida, como esa salida que tuve con mis hermanas hace algunos meses, las tres disfrutamos muchísimo.
2️⃣ What is one “luxury” that you think is completely overrated? It could be anything people see as a symbol of a comfortable or successful life — like a designer handbag, a huge house, expensive holidays, fancy restaurants, or even something much simpler. What’s something you wouldn’t spend your money on, even if you could afford it? And why?
2️⃣¿Cuál es un “lujo” que cree que está completamente sobrevalorado?
Podría ser cualquier cosa que la gente vea como un símbolo de una vida cómoda o exitosa, como un bolso de diseñador, una casa enorme, unas vacaciones costosas, restaurantes elegantes o incluso algo mucho más simple. ¿En qué no gastarías tu dinero, incluso si pudieras permitírtelo? ¿Y por qué?
Honestly, something I wouldn't do—even if I could afford it—is line my walls with gold or buy gold toilets, as I know the ultra-wealthy do in certain countries; while any luxury is technically unnecessary, that sort of thing is on another level entirely. I believe that if you don't know what to do with so much money, the best course of action is to donate or distribute it among the most needy—building shelters and schools, funding health or educational projects, and, above all, helping to save the planet. I also wouldn't keep exotic pets; aside from the danger involved, it is an insult to nature and the ecosystem. Animals belong in their natural habitats, and we should respect biodiversity.
Algo que honestamente yo no haría ni que pudiese permitírmelo sería forrar mis paredes con oro, o comprar retretes de oro, como se que hacen las personas más opulentas en países donde hay personas extremadamente ricas, por ejemplo, cualquier lujo es innecesario pero eso está a otro nivel, así que pienso que si no sabes que hacer con tanto dinero lo mejor es donarlo distribuirlo entre los más necesitados (construir refugios y escuelas, financiar proyectos de salud o educacionales, ayudar a salvar el planeta sobre todo) tampoco tendría mascotas exóticas porque además de ser peligroso eso es un insulto a la naturaleza y al ecosistema, lo mejor es que los animales estén en su hábitat natural y respetar la biodiversidad.

And beautiful photos of nature, there's a lot of beauty in our surrounding that we can just capture them. Really glad we had those, our gallery will only be filled with ir together with the photos of our family, happy moments and some more. So glad camera become affordable now.
It's amazing we can capture everything we love and make memories. Nothing beats picking up your device and reliving moments from years back.
And about the gold toilets, hehe. It is one of the thousand and one things that would never make sense to me. I guess rich people do what rich people do. Some luxury products are not entirely necessary.
What you say is true; they are unnecessary luxuries that lead to nothing good, especially when there is so much poverty and need in the world.
