LOH 66th edition - Tattoos

(Edited)

Growing up I had a negative impression about tattoos and people who wore one because of my background, who would have thought I would be married to a man who loves tattoos so much and has a lot.

The funny thing is when he started talking about meeting my parents for the first time I literally made him wear an outfit to cover up every tattoo he had Till he was sick one time and had to be admitted under my mother's care in her hospital there was no hiding anymore and good thing he already won her heart so when she saw the tattoos she asked questions and was so cool about it which was shocking knowing how much she warned me about it growing up.

My husband has about 7 tattoos if not more, I asked him why he likes tattoos and he said it was because he loves arts, his father was an artist and the only way he could relate was with his tattoo.

No wonder his first and favorite tattoo was his father's signature on his right hand, he got it about 7 years ago on his dad's 10th-year remembrance after he saw his international passport with his signature on it. I guess it was his way of having his dad closer to him in memory.

And ever since he has become a tattoo lover. He has on his both arms, and legs, and the funny thing is I enjoy looking at his tattoo.

Like one of the question for the week asks?

If you had to get a tattoo right now, what tattoo would you choose?

It would be a matching wedding band tattoo for me and hubby. I remember having a talk with him about how inconvenient wedding rings can be or accessories in general, I am not a fan of pieces of jewelry, but over here but some reasons I can not explain if you are not seen with a wedding band in public and you have a child with you, everyone just assumes you are a BABY MAMA

We had one incident at the hospital when I went to register for my antenatal when I was pregnant, the registering nurse didn't even ask if I was a Miss or Mrs, she used to miss and was giving me this funny look, I had to correct her immediately because I could tell what she has in mind from her expressions.

I just told her
my husband would be here soon so we see the doctor together

she looked surprised said she didn't know I was married, she didn't see any ring and because I look too young to be married too. even if that was the case she had no right to judge or interfere.

And this incident wasn't even my first experience with people assuming I wasn't married just because I wasn't wearing my wedding ring and I was tired of correcting people who assume I wasn't married and somehow was about to judge me for something I wasn't guilty of.

So I decided that I would go to his next tattoo session with him and we would have the band tattoo.

So I thought

In November 2021, I followed hubby to his tattoo artist to get his tattoo and hopefully get mine but when I saw the needle and I was told that tattoos on the finger can be a little bit painful drawing I withdrew my interest.

the black dot right there is my first tattoo

The artist kept on saying it wasn't so bad, he has to give me a “DOT” tattoo just to show it wasn't so bad but I just couldn't...

I chickened out😃

Maybe when I am bold enough again we could go back and get our rings tattooed.

Someday hopefully 😂

Finally, I would love to invite @goodysam @hopestylist to join the ladies of hive community and answer any of the prompts if they will.

This is a great right up. I can only imagine the look on your hubby's face and your face watching him get his tattoos. Thanks for inviting me for the contest.i will check for other prompts, the tattoo is a no go area for me.
I will run seeing others getting it.
