Summer Season in Pakistan: My Views #292
Weekly Prompt: What’s your favorite thing about the current season, and what do you dislike most?
In Pakistan, summer is not easy to deal with. The heat can be so intense that even simple daily tasks feel exhausting.
Sometimes I feel like I’m only made for winters.So for me summers season is totally no.
I don’t like summers. But only thing which fascinates me are rains and summer fruits.
When you witness the growth of greenery around after every rain,it feels so good.
Even my small kitchen garden in the pots grows like if a magic happened at night.
I love bathing in rain . Luckily, in Islamabad it rains both in summer and winter. Because of cold you can’t imagine to get out and enjoy, but in summer I enjoy in full bloom.
I enjoy all summer fresh fruits, specially mangoes, and watermelons.
The most I hate about summers is sweating. I feel I’m drained, no matter how many times you takea shower, after sometimes you feel same sweaty.
I don’t like to cook in the kitchen. I don’t like to go for a walk in summers. I mostly do online shopping even for the groceries too.
One more thing I hate about summers are lizards.
All kinds of crawling insects and reptiles comes out so you need to be pretty cautious.
I also witnessed a scorpion at my house.
I live in a house which is surrounded by trees and wild weeds. For the last three days one of my bathrooms is locked because of a visitor gecko came inside from a small hole in the window. I requested even the neighbors for help but noone showed up so far.
Summers in Karachi is horrible. Islamabad is much better because of rains.
In summer, most of my time is spent playing with water. I love splashing water with the hose pipe while washing my terrace and stairs. Anything that involves water is my favorite thing to do, especially on hot days.
Maybe that's why I'm dreaming of moving to the north one day, where the weather stays cool and pleasant. A place where summer feels more like spring or even winter. That sounds perfect to me!
