A resilient woman I know : LOH #101
Hello hivers and #ladiesofhive community,
It is another week of interesting topics to talk about. I always love to be here because I learn from my fellow woman through their captivating articles. This week's questions is one that I cannot ignore. I am going to react to question two
Let's talk about a resilient woman, it can be your friend, family member, co-worker, etc. What is her life challenge and what did she do to overcome the trial she faced?

Every one has had to go through one thing or the other. That's what life is all about i guess. Bringing you challenges and letting you decide to either overcome those challenges, or run around them. When we talk of a resilient woman, I will say my mother is one. I have seen her in her high and low moments and seen how she did everything possible to overcome her life issues and raise her head high too.
My dad fell Ill in 2014. He was diagnosed of stroke. I was in the university then so my mother took the burden of taking care of her husband. Sometimes when I came home from school, I saw her carrying my father to bath, feed and cloth him. He couldn't walk at all. So she was shouldered with those responsibilities. On top of it, she still went to her shop to run her daily business. She would ensure that she had finished taking care of him in the morning and attending to his needs before leaving for her shop. She would come back again every now and then from the shop to check on him and head back again to the shop.
What is easy for her? Not at all. Shuffling between taking care of a sick person, her children and her business was quite hectic. Automatically, she became the bread winner of the house. She was mentally and emotionally drained. But in all of these, one thing I never saw her doing was to complain. She knew best that the only person who understood what she was going through was her maker. My mum is a strong believer of Christ and she knew that just one day she would get over it.
My dad finally passed on in 2019. So my mum carried this burden for 6 good years. One day, I asked her what really kept her going through all of those hard times.
She said that she was hopeful all the while. As a dedicated Christian, she knew that God will never fail her at all. Her eyes were fixed at the end of the tunnel and she was optimistic that she would reach the end one day
My mother is the definition of a resilient woman. I am so proud of having her as my own flesh and blood. Despite all of those hard times, she ensured that while I was in school, I had all I needed too. She still paid my school fees and sent some money for feeding too.
As an independent woman now, I am doing all I can to ensure that she gets the best life. She deserves everything good
