Ladies of Hive Community Contest #301 - Personal care tips

@LadiesofHive Community Contest #301 questions for the week are:

1️⃣ Based on the phrase: "Beauty begins with us and comes from within us" — which is very important for coping well with everyday life — do you try to look your best so that others see you in a positive light, or is it to feel good about yourself?
~ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 / 𝐎𝐑 ~
2️⃣ Do you have any personal care tips or recipes? Share with us those secrets that help you look and feel your best.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I believe in both inner and outer beauty. To clarify, this belief is for my own-self and I do not judge anyone from their appearance. What is wrong in wanting to look good? I do not think that if someone emphasizes on their looks then it is anything wrong, provided they are also equally focusing on their inner-beauty.

I always want to look good but not for others, it is for my own-self. I never bother for how opposite person finds my look or appearance. More importantly, it is how comfortable I am with my own looks and appearance. The way I conduct myself gives me confidence and fills me up with positive energy. I have my self-care routines, both for physical outlook and mental well-being.

I have many personal care tips which I follow regularly. I do not believe in using cosmetics available in the market. I do use them but only few essentials, else most of my skin and hair care products are home made. At 52 also I do not dye my hair, and they are naturally black. I have a very good weekly routine for my hair care which I have been doing it for years. It's a paste of mixed powders of black sesame seeds, fenugreek, ginseng, Bhringraj, hibiscus, and onion mixed with Aloe gel. It's a task but it gives me results and keeps me free from all chemicals. Likewise for skin, I use beetroot powder mixed with turmeric and gram flour with Aloe gel. This gives a natural glow on my skin.

I use a lot of herbs in my day-to-day life, not only in food but for skin and hair care also. I consume herbal tea daily which keeps my system clean, again it's not ready made and it's all made at home. The most important for me is my 8 hrs of sleep, and daily meditation and fitness routines.

Feeling at one's best does not happen with one thing it's a holistic approach one has to take. One cannot just focus on food and ignore other things, or focus on lifestyle and not diet. It needs discipline also. I started my self-care practices in my early 30s and they are showing me excellent results now in my 50s. Using ready products from market is a short cut and making at home is a task but then the results speak for themselves so I would any day prefer to do that extra task.

To summarize my personal care tips are using homemade natural products as much as possible, eat clean and healthy food. Go the ancient way using lot of herbs in food, sleep well, exercise, do meditation and yoga regularly, read positive and uplifting books and be happy. In 30s and 40s we are already looking youthful and it will not matter much but as we age, we will start missing the youthfulness and if we have taken good care of ourselves then the youthfulness will remain even in the older age.

I love myself a lot and I am my priority.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Taking care of ourselves doesn’t have to be complicated. Even simple habits like getting enough rest, staying clean, eating well, and giving ourselves a little time to relax can make a big difference. Thanks for sharing these helpful tips! 💕

True, it's not about fancy things rather it is about the little things we keep doing all through

The sense of well-being that comes from your own personality is undoubtedly reflected in your confidence and positive energy; likewise, the self-care routines you described—using homemade products, daily meditation, and getting good sleep—are invaluable for physical and mental well-being. Thanks for sharing your experiences, my friend,

I'm done with commercial care products. I learned not soon enough what big name corporate products have in them. Personal Care products made with natural products is the way to go, now I need to stick to my exercise program.
Thanks for sharing @nainaztengra 🤗

True, and they are so damn expensive. The truth is that when I had this craziness of trying out fancy cosmetics in my prime youth, I had no money, so I kept stuck to my home therapies. Now I have money but no inclination or desire to even try and want to continue with my same old practices

Taking care of ourselves is not something that should be complicated but in some countries the type of work people do actually don't give them time to take care of themselves. I personally need to adopt some of your care tips, well done.

I understand, it's challenging in many ways, but there are somethings that does not need money at all, like a good sleep or a walk in fresh air. A little mindfulness towards our own-self will show positive results
