Un día como hoy 08 de marzo, se
conmemora y en honor a esas mujeres valientes, 129 obreras textiles de la fábrica Cotton de Nueva York, Estados Unidos, que fallecieron en 1857 a consecuencia de un incendio mientras hacían huelga para mejorar sus condiciones laborales. Es motivo de recordarlas por siempre, ejemplo de lucha en pro de ideales y beneficios a favor de la mujer trabajadora, que tristemente pagaron el precio para que otras como tú y como yo pudiéramos tener el privilegio de ser escuchadas.
