If I Were A Ghost ... || Ladies of Hive Community Contest #107
When I was a kid I used to fantasize about becoming invisible or something like a ghost. How fun that would be, right? I guess, we all have some wired desire like this.
And what would I do?
Back then, I used to think, I will discover all the secrets people are hiding. lol. My sister had an affair and probably that made me think that way.
Anyway...
I sometimes still think about it. And when I saw this fun question in LOH, I thought let's think about a little deeper, what I want now.
I would choose to be a Shakchunni.
There's a ghost called Shakchunni in Bangla folklore. Usually, married women with unsatisfied desire become that ghost after death, lives in a tree, and attack the passerby who disturbs them.
But I wouldn't disturb the passerby though. Instead, would sit on the tree, with my open hair waving with the winds, and think about all the things. I would have used my possession power to let people tell only the truth.
If any passerby goes under the tree, I will scare them by whispering, "From now, speak only the truth or you will not be able to walk again."
No matter what's going on in their mind, their mouth will reveal the truth. That's when every math will be equal. No more oppression, no more mistreatment. Only the truth.
I'm so sick of people telling lies, lives on lies. How fun it would be if everyone tells the truth or at least avoid all the unnecessary lies. But that's human nature and only can be changed with such a power of possession.
The ghost Shakchunni usually visits the houses of the possessed too to remind them about the deed. I would do the same to make them say the truth, and live on the truth.
That's fiction of Good ghost, no? But guess what, I have some evil plan in my mind too. lol. I mean, who would miss the chance to punish the evil and scare the hell out of them if they become ghosts?

the good ghost is a good thing to do, and that little evil inside of you, well i think we all have that same desire in us. we all have a good and a bad side in us, it's their choice who they get to know, 😤 if we are treated badly, they can get a bad side of me, if they treat me nicely, i will be nice too.

No matter how much we try there will some unfulfilled desires, no? We all are human, so...
Ghost is just a concept, so living in the tree or abandoned house is possible for any conceptual being 😁😁
So True with the sadneas of people living in lies and tell lies.
Honesty and being real is how we all should live.
So a little ghost help to change their minds would be good.
I love the tree idea, I would love to be one with nature, and whispering things that makes People smile and feel hope.

Shakchunni!!! Never expected anyone to pick that character as a desire to possess, lol. From my childhood, I have teased my sister by calling this, hehe. Well, you gave a twist too.
If I were asked to possess a supernatural power then I would have picked the power of reading minds, serves almost the same that you had expected but in a cool way. Once I wrote about it and there I realized the penalty it takes, there is a high chance of finding negativities all around, and ugly truths might affect me in the negative. and then I moved on to the desire of being Invisible, you mentioned that too in the beginning, hehe, quite similar.
Well, I think an image of our green famous Shakchunni should have been added here for the audience who don't know her, haha.
lol, that's a total sibling thing.
That would be great if we could read people's mind. But as you said, it would not be a pleasure but a burden.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if the truth were told every time someone opened their mouth? OR in the extreme, if the truth was known not be forthcoming, they would be unable to speak. Then others will know that person was about to lie. Fun, fun, fun!

Good one @rem-steem, making people tell the truth would probably blow minds. When I was a child, my parents always reminded us to tell the truth because one lie turns into a whole bunch of them. It's just plain wrong.
