Ladies of Hive Community Contest #29

As one of the Founders of the LadiesOfHive Community along with @silversaver888, my silver-stacking sister, I have never felt it appropriate for me to enter the weekly contest. However, @silversaver888 threw her meme into the ring this week in the Meme Contest we are having, and then the super-sweet @brittandjosie called me out in a comment, saying she wanted me to submit a meme, too. So, hey...

In our weekly contests, the LadiesOfHive usually have a couple of questions. Entrants can answer one or both of them. Many of the women have said they enjoy answering the questions because they inspire them to look inward, to examine their thoughts, values, and goals. This week there is still one question, but the other question has been replaced by a Meme Contest, where the goal is to create a meme enticing other women to join our lovely women-centric community. This idea was the brainchild of the very creative @brittandjosie, who seldom seems to have difficulty thinking of exciting, new things.

Part of the requirements of the contest is to use photos that are free-for-use and not copyrighted or watermarked. Entrants can use their own photos, or get them from a site that allows usage of photos, such as:

I went to Unsplash.com and typed "women" in the search bar. There were so many great photos from which to choose that my mind went a dozen different directions at once! It was such a creative rush! I tried to narrow the search results to two or three, but finally settled on more. I could easily have done another dozen, at least, with no trouble whatsoever! These are so fun to make! 😺 I didn't want to overwhelm my readers, though.

Also, to be fair, I have only looked at one entry to the contest thus far, the one written by @silversaver888, in which @brittandjosie tagged me to participate. So, I have no clue right now whether my memes are similar or different than all the other ladies are doing. I might take a peek at some of them after I publish this.

After selection, the photos were loaded into my trusty PaintShopPro™ software for resizing, adding the wording, and drawing some vector-graphics on a couple of them. Other editing to the photos was minimal, except for the one below, where I did a good bit of work evening-out the tone and texture of the pavement.

Of course, I had to do one meme with high heels in it! I am a big fan of heels, always have been, and have quite a number of pairs in my closet. I try to take care of them and repair them if something goes awry so I can get as much wear out of them as possible. In fact, I just recently retired a pair that I've had for over forty years! I started to do a meme with one of my own photos in it, but this one was so pretty I had to use it! 😊

Originally, I stopped working on memes with the ones shown above. But, I wanted one meme that had a bit of a grungy, risqué, or dark feel to it, so I snagged one last photo for the below finale.
