Daily 100% curation rewards
In our last post, we requested help from community with our onboarding efforts. We now bring you update that distributes 100% daily curation rewards to delegators according to their delegation ratio.
By end of each day UTC time (starting from today 04.01.2021), we calculate curation rewards received by @ecency and calculate delegations and send each delegator their portion of curation reward. Note: this works only if you are delegated to @ecency account, if you are delegating to @esteemapp, please consider moving them to @ecency.
Beside curation rewards, you will be earning extra Ecency points. In return, we promise to keep onboarding more users and make sure our signup service won't get abused.
We hope in upcoming hardfork, RC delegations will be included so more people could delegate un-utilized RC to us for onboarding people. RC delegation doesn't give curation rewards to delegatee, so for those who wants to keep their voting power can do so by delegating RC. But until this feature is enabled on-chain, regular delegation would help us a lot to continue onboarding more people.
Curations are done manually by our curation team, in future iterations we will add extra reward for curators but for initial release, curators will only earn curation reward for their contribution.

Do we know the expected APR? or APY?
Not yet, as we curate manually and haven't focused on maximum return, we will probably see some stats improving in coming week. But return will certainly be satisfying especially there is Ecency points as extra reward independent of curation effort going out daily to delegators already and there is onboarding new users for entire ecosystem. This curation 100% reward is on top of all that, so any curation reward we receive, delegators get liquid HIVE right away... This is initial implementation, so we will see how it can be improved with stat reports, etc.
Our primary goal is to be able to continue onboarding more people as we were doing for past year and reward delegators as well.

Why not give curation rewards (or something else, which is encouraging) according to their commenting ratio?
Nowadays the average number of comments per post is 1-3, and most of those comments are bot comments.
There should be something to motivate people to be social on the Hive blockchain.
Some people are not fully active but they have stake they would like to delegate and earn passive income. So this is good opportunity to collect daily curation reward while you keep your stake and help that stake is used for onboarding new people.
A very good decision. Hope it will make a good impact on the market.

Go to your wallet and click on drop down on Hive Power balance and select delegate, type ecency and amount/slider and delegate.

It is a feature. You clicked on view change button, this will disable images so you can save on bandwidth. Return back thumbnails and avatars, you should click again on view change button, top right corner below search icon.

Yesterday first I delegated 1000 HP and then 16 HP more, but now only 16 HP is delegated to ecency but can't see my 1k HP. Where is that HP gone?
Delegation usually updates/overwrites the value. So if you did 1000 and then 16, which means last 16 is effective delegation. Remaining 984 will be returned to you in 7 days. That's how chain works, we will see if we can improve messaging in delegation screens to make sure people see before updating delegation.
Oops then I have to wait for 7 days. Really long time.

Check our delegators and check our wallet, delegator's wallet, daily HIVE is sent to them and also Ecency Points are sent daily.

Check your points page and see all the ways to earn point, one of the is delegation. 1000 HP would give daily 100 Points and some HIVE, curation reward based on what total curation reward will be every day.

Just a question so that we can adapt one of our post reward strategies with the point bonus system?
For example, during the constitution of a new community, we were able to collect more than 100,000 points. One of my jobs in this new community is to reward posts that I think are interesting. But in recent days our rewards have been blocked because you have reimbursed us 1500 pts intended for the votes. This makes us uncomfortable with members who normally have to be rewarded within 7 days. In addition, we intended to collect (via transfers and purchases), several thousand points to reward the best publications.
Can you explain this problem to us and how to fix it?
Boosts are manually reviewed and curated by our curators and it is not guaranteed. Our curators have 24 hours to evaluate all posts and if they don't get chance to review all posts, not boosted ones will get refund. Hope it explains how boosting works.

In order to test @ecency delegation what is the minimum amount that it is possible to delegate?
Our affiliates Team have several thousand of @ecency points and we would like to convert them to Hive to send you delegations.
Here our Problem:
We have great difficulty in converting the points by your boost system which is manual and which very often (several times) the points are returned (for posts however of qualities).
So we have several questions:
Q1: Is there a way to directly and quickly convert points to Hive? (without using the boost system (too random and slow)).
Q2: Is it possible to redeem the points for Hive Power that we would delagate it to you?
We highly value the community and the interface of @ecency and we are working to use the maximum of its potential. If we are critical, it is because we are very rational and want to commit to solid foundations in order to invest and to benefit the entire Hive ecosystem.
Is there anyone who can answer our questions ?

@hive-affiliate and @didaquest, there is no direct convert of Points to Hive. No there is no possible way to convert to Hive power as well at this moment. In future more use cases are added and we will announce new changes and possibilities once they are ready.

I have tried COUNTLESS times to delegate Hive Power to @ecency in response to the good support I have been given, but Hivesigner just gives me an error...

I recently went to increase my delegation. I found that if I do a new delegation, it replaces the original, as opposed to adding to it:
(note on the bottom is where I figured this out)
But because I was confused initially, I undelegated my original and replaced it. Does anyone know how long it takes for the undelegated HP to return to my HP pool?

Curation rewards are paid out to delegators daily. As long as there is delegation, reward is shared among all delegators. Plus extra Ececny points daily as well.

Hi thanks for your article but i dont speak french. And if i get this right the 33% are with points and the likes you get for the points. I got said from two people i trust thats right. But if you have more info maybe wright a article in english about it. many would be interested i guess.
My current analyzes show that 33% is not possible and even if we combine the rewards of points and hives currently we can reach 12 or 13% but not 33%. Like you, I believed in the many promises and decided to do a concrete analysis. I will give the statistics that I realize in order to enlighten members on the real advantages of donating to ecency.

There was payment script error which was reported and we combined those missing days in subsequent day. Looks like it is working ok now.

missing days were paid in next day, we only noticed script error after 2 days and those missing was included when it was fixed.
I should have done this much earlier.

It is not much, when you are starting out, we would urge you to engage and grow. When you have more hive power and you see on our website https://Ecency.com that you are not utilizing your Resources Credits effectively then you can consider delegations!
