Getting used to the Hive platform and knowing how things work here could be really difficult for new hivers. Thus, there is need for hive mentorship being that Hive is not just a regular social media platform. Adding to this, I know how difficult it was and what I went through when I joined steemit hive newly in 2017. I had no one to mentor me so, I hard to learn myself. This is why I have always taken it upon myself to invite new users to this platform because of how rewarding it is and not just inviting them, I devote my time to mentoring them till they gained a certain level of knowledge and then I leave them to explore.

My first referral to Steemit Hive was @Uyobong and then @Mhizerbee and I did a great job showing them the way. Today, I'm excited to see them excelling on Hive and also mentoring others. That's the beauty of life.

However, my Hive onboarding and mentoring has always been active; I'm not sure I'll stop doing them. So, in the last 4 weeks, I have been able to bring onboard to Hive six (6) active bloggers/ users with the most recent being @godwinetuk and @debbyomolo who just published her introduction post on 23 July, 2020 and I'm excited about it. I look forward to onboarding more.

Firstly, I helped them in their account creations courtesy of @esteemapp and then delegated to each of them Hive Power enough to allow them engage to whatever extent they can. However, some of them like @dantommy and @perosky1 have been able to earn themselves more Hive power through their consistent content creations. The others I'm still guiding and believing they will stay consistent in creating contents and engaging.

More so, I have intimated them on the concept of communities and how to create posts and use tags. I just feel excited being able to help them scale through on Hive! I've also made myself easily accessible to them such that they can ask me any question anytime.

You can read @debbyomolo 's introduceyourself post here and give her a warm welcome..

My Advice to New Hivers
Hive is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Your success here needs your commitment, passion, consistency, engagements and creativity. Without all these, you might end up leaving us. I have had cases of people who I referred and after a few weeks, they gave up saying they didn't make any money. I had to sit them down and educate them and their mindset.

You have to develop passion for Hive and most importantly, stay original and creative.

You can also follow @godwinetuk and support him too.

So, that is the round-up and report of my recent Hive onboarding exercise. This is one of my ways of promoting HIVE. Together, we will grow Hive! I feel excited being a part of this initiative by @theycallmedan.
