Not done yet as things kind of deteriorated over night.

Although most of us are continuing with normal day to day things the patients have to stay inside for another two weeks. A good thing really as they deteriorated yesterday and had to call the doctor this morning.

Both had tests and came back full of patches from being wired up to machines checking heart rates etc. They both claimed of a burning sensation in their chests and like you do they Googled what it was. Panic set in as this is the next stage of the virus becoming more serious.

I don't Google anything medical related as you are asking for trouble as it will tell you things you don't want to know and may lead you into negative thinking. been there and done that by misdiagnosing what I thought I had and turned out to be something way minor. Coughing blood is not always a cancer and was just a blood clot in my case and the damage after hitting my lung. Still very serious but out of the two I would take the latter which wasn't even mentioned by Google.

The burning sensation in the chest is the virus attacking the respiratory system so it is quite serious now. The trick is not to let this lead into pneumonia as then you have a serious problem on your hands. The patients that end up on ventilators are the pneumonia cases and no one wants to even consider that right now.

I find this whole thing bizarre as not much is known about it and you find out along the way as it progresses. I just think you have to have some serious underlying health issues for it to still be active in your body after two weeks. I hate to even consider what damage it has done to the insides as a burning sensation must literally be just that.

I keep saying we are finally through the worst parts and always speak too soon so will keep quiet from now on and not jinx anyone. Not having medication to treat the virus is a problem as you are just medicating for other symptoms that are controllable. It definitely has changed my mind on this thing as it is not a walk in the park even though for some of us it is literally just that.

Stay well everyone as you honestly don't want this anywhere near your loved ones. You may be fine but others may not be so lucky.

That is all we can all do. Who would have imagined it dragging into the third week already.

It really is nothing to brush off lightly.

No it isn't especially when most households have at least one person who has something underlying health wise.

Everyone's got parents or grandparents or is themselves at an advanced age.

Wow, I will be keeping your family in my prayers, I know a lot of people just say that, but I mean it. This has to be really horrible for you (and them of course). Hopefully they are able to manage the current symptoms well and can push through. I hope this is the worst of it so they can start getting better.

Thanks bozz. Never thought for a second you didn't mean it. I am hoping by the weekend and not thinking it has said goodbye just yet.

Oofty. It seems like there is no let up. Can only hope that any day now it starts to lift.

It is funny though, as I was reading about the googling and I thought

Google Search: sore left foot

- cancer

Google Search: low energy levels

- cancer

Google Search: my eye is watering

- cancer

It's insane. No one should ever Google an illness

I agree Googling some ailment is nuts. Had a doctor a while back that said Google was your friend. I got rid of her in a heartbeat as If I ask what is wrong don't tell me to google something becomes I am paying you. Not sure which African country she got her degree in but it must have been easy.

Lol. That sounds familiar, one of the doctor's I had in the past blatantly googled my symptoms as I sat there. I was like, wtf!?
