Hive NFTs are a Definite Hodl!!!

When I was thinking about what to write for today's hodling post I could not help but realized that the only reason I even got on hive was to play a few Splinterlands matches and compete another Rising Stars mission. I pretty much have this pattern down where I wake up in the morning and review my game activities then go to work. At around noon I would check if the market listed good deals for NFT cards. I often do not have the motivation to blog on Hive but like to play the games. It is the games that has redirected my focus on blogging more often in hopes of earning Hives to purchase cards in the future.

In peakmonsters.com players can rent out their cards for income. Although not earnings the website makes it easy to rent out and earn daily income. I have played for almost two years and amass a small portfolio of Splinterlands cards. I have in turn rented or allow rental on most of my cards.

Another benefit of holding Hive NFTs is that they appreciate in price down the road.

When I was purchasing Alpha summoners almost two years ago I could scoop some of the cards where it was less than $1.5 / bcx. Now not one is close to $5 dollar a bcx. Imagine all the rest of the cards and how far their prices have appreciated. As I have held on to most my cards and mostly adding my entire portfolio is estimated to be nearly $5k in value. It gets better as Splinterlands has recently announce another token with an airdrop for those who hold their cards as long as they can.

Another very popular game using the Hive blockchain is Rising Stars. I play it daily and for fans of my blog, they are aware I provide a daily giveaway of cards. This is to promote and make others aware of the game. NFTs in the game have risen since I started playing a little over 6 months again.

In addition that Splinterlands is adding a new token they are also soon to be rolling out new game functions. This will likely cause higher demand for cards in this game as the updates such as land control. Same goes for Rising Star where about a month ago they added new in game features such as new token Starpro and multiple ways to earn passive income. Whether invest in Defi like the example of using Starbits to farm Vi

Multiple Platforms?

Both Splinterlands and Rising Stars have introduced their NFTs on WAX token tradable platforms making it much easier to access owning cards for users who are not aware of the hive blockchain. Wax goes under the ETH blockchain however programmers and creators of the hive games are trying to spread the world outside the Hive blockchain as there is a limit to how many gamers or people who would be interested in investing. By broadening the consumer base by reaching out of the Hive ecosystem to find more fans. This will unlock more demand for the cards and in turn likely rise prices even higher.

Bottom line there is a lot of growth potential still yet to be unlocked in many Hive games. I prefer to play Splinterlands and Rising Stars so I write about them here. However this by no means saying only these tow games are fun. There are plenty of other Hive games that will have their assets apperciate in the long run. As with crypto holding on to these Hive NFTs will for sure pay dividends in the future. It is similar to how I earlier mentioned after playing Splinterlands for over a year and earn many cards I could hold the cards to rent out or sell at higher market prices.
