San Jose Sharks Soon to Accept BTC for Ticket Sits!

Another sports team has announced they will be accepting cryptocurrency for sports game tickets. To be specific the San Jose Sharks will be the first NHL time that has officially announce their acceptance of crypto. San Jose Sharks will be partnering up with Bitpay to sell season tickets and luxury suites. Bitpay will accept tokens such as BTC, ETH, DOGE, BTCH, and stable tokens such as GUSD, USDC, PAX, DAI, and BUSD.

As more and more entities allowing the use of cryptocurrency it will likely mean it is has an intrinsic value. It is worth noting some sales of team seats and suites by other early adopters such as baseball's Athletics, The prices of crypto has recently drop significantly, for instance BTC during 2020 the customers that bought tickets to watch Athletics has gotten a deal since BTC was worth over $60 at the beginning of 2021. In turn the Athletics lost in the trade as their holdings of BTC devalue with the crypto market.
