For the most part of the day, I was studying and I was really feeling bored. My Netflix subscription ended just a few days ago so I opened YouTube to watch some comedy scenes. After watching one video, I opened another and that's where I saw this add with a title "Elon Musk and SpaceX are giving away 5000 BTC". FYI, this isn't new, hackers have been scamming people like this for so long.

I ignored the video first but after watching a few more videos, I saw that the advertisement had thousands of views. It was a Livestream and they were asking people to send BTC to their address and in return, they will get a bigger chunk.

I was very surprised to know that the BTC address they used had received over 10 BTC. This was very shocking. This is how a bunch of scammers stole close to $100,000 in a matter of a few hours.

As I mentioned earlier that these scams aren't new, they keep popping up on YouTube every now and then and yet YouTube does nothing to stop this. Yes, these accounts end up with a ban on YouTube but not before they scam people of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If you find videos like these on YouTube, please report them with all your YouTube accounts and beware, never send a penny to anyone online if you don't know that person.
