Are you a Bookworm?!

Well, I am a bookworm. I was on vacation in Southern Spain when I had a leg accident way back in 2010, I was bedridden and these books were my comfort to forget the pain. In a matter of 10 days, I read all these. Sometimes if the story had been thrilling, I read it within a day. And yeah, I collect books and have many. When we moved to another flat that is smaller than our former house, I had to give-away many books as well as interior decorating magazines to friends because of lack of space. As I love to read, most of the books I have are those about Interior decorating, Archeology, Thrillers, Cookbooks Handycrafts, DIYs as well abooks on animals and nature.

So my question is are you a bookworm, too?

Oh good, let´s do it.... As a matter of fact, I brought along a book on Canon EOS 90D which hubby gave me. Since we arrived here in Andalusia, I haven´t opened it to initiate and start reading. As I have mentioned before, our days in Andalusia have been focused on house repairs and maintenance.

Yes ate I was a bookworm before, mostly novels and the novels are still here till now..its hard to let go. When I was in high school, Filipino/Tagalog pocket books were trending that time too. At present, I prefer to watch series rather than reading. But still I missed reading..

Woa! these are heavy books Tita they would truly occupy your time, for a bookworm this is heaven right here.
I was once a bookworm too, during my high school days. I love reading so much, I love visualizing what I am reading. I feel excited following each adventure on the book, each episode each chapter. For four years, my name was always on the monthly top borrowers list in our library. During my spare time I am always at the library because going to an all girls school (USC-GHS) where there are a lot of groups, which I don't want to belong on any of them. Well, there are all my friends but I just don't want to be labeled as a member on any of the groups. I find it more interesting staying in the library than hanging out with them doing nothing or sometimes just nonsense. I don't want to miss out on any of
Ms. Nancy Drew's detective works and adventures which was what I was hooked on before..... haha
I was so engrossed with reading that I had a lot of mishaps while reading.... HOw?
I fell on a running jeep on the hi-ways of Cebu CIty it nearly cost my life good thing there was no jeep behind us or else I wouldn't be here telling the story. I would have been hit good thing my guardian angels protected me.
Well, this is what happened. I was sitting with my batchmate on the front seat with the driver. She told me since I was reading during our travel that I should sit beside the driver but knowing me always a protective kind of friend I told her it's okay that I will sit on the entry way. So while the jeep was running fast on the hi-way suddenly the car in front of us stopped so our driver had to step on the breaks just so we will not collide with the vehicle in front of us. While I was so busy reading I did not see what was coming and happening and due to the impact of abruptly stepping on the brakes I fell out of the jeep, like literally I flew out of the jeep it was like some force nabbed me out from the jeep. All the passengers were shouting at the back. Some say, were you sleeping dear? well, I know what I did, I was reading a book. Ahahahaha.
I learned my lesson in a painful, humiliating kind of way. That one should not read while on a moving vehicle. I also fell from a flight of stairs because I was reading while going down the stairs. Ahahaha and many more to tell.

But that incident did not stop me from reading and being a bookworm. I love reading readers digest, Archie comics, the Encyclopedia, The Hardy Boys, Oh man! I was a fan as well. I think these books greatly influenced me in some ways, like the way I think, the way I view the world. I truly learned a lot.

Now, in my adulthood I still love reading usually magazines like our church publications and since I bumped into the audio books online, Oh man I was hooked! because I am so busy nowadays having to listen to the audio books and not reading them because of my busy schedules it also felt like I was reading them while listening specially when I am driving, cooking, cleaning etc. I just have to put on my headphones.
I've listened to many already like the Think and Grow Rich Book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Oprah Winfrey's book like the Path Made Clear, The Secret and to many authors as well. I prefer listening to audio books that are positive and uplifting. Now, I am hooked with grandpa Bob Proctor, Mr. Robert Kiyosaki, Louise Hay, Abraham-Hicks, Lewis Howes, Dr. Joe Dispenza and many more. I love learning books about angels as well.
I think the internet really revolutionized the way we can learn so much so this audible books are really like heaven for me.

To sum up, well, I guess I consider myself a bookworm..... haha.
Take care po always Tita.

I was, yes that was, in my college days like from Fyodor Dostoevsky the Crime and Punishment but that was it ☺️ and I have cookbooks, auto mechanics and readers digest that I haven't opened yet from the date of the delivery years ago, I hope to read it some other time🤑.
Hive on!

You also hoard books for the future.... hehehe, I also did that or I still do untl I have no more place to keep them. Me too, I was in the school library in between breaks. Most of the time, I read magazines and see pics of interior designds and DIY... Thanks for being here.

And lately, I found Agatha C., Danielle S. and some of Grishams in my mom's collection in our basement and my sister told me that there are dozens others in boxes, I don't have much time unboxing but I will one of these days.

Yeah, you should do that and put your beloved crypto on the side. You might fiund some more treasures in the boxes.

I won't consider myself a bookworm, but I read books often. John Grisham was one of the first authors I knew. My first book, as I could remember, was The Firm, and that's where it all started. 😊

Good choice.... ! The book was a good read. I keep on hoarding pocketbooks too in the sense that I might read it again.... But the very first novel I read was a pocket book entitled Master of the Game from Sidney Sheldon in 1984... It was so thrilling and that began my addiction to thrillers and spionage.
