Hello community @liketu and @amazingnature. Some time ago my daughter went out on the porch of the house and found this beautiful little bird, a hummingbird, it seemed to be injured. Luckily he was just scared and disoriented from falling out of a tree. Probably the nest of its parents.

My son-in-law fed him rice and built him a nest in a box, but Jerry immediately showed his independent spirit by breaking out of the box and spending the first 3 days on the makeshift palmetto. I don't consider myself a fan of birds, but I find them beautiful and I don't like to see them in cages.

After 2 weeks Jerry was huge and increasingly independent. It was flying all over the backyard.

"He leaves at any moment", "his family must be looking for him", said my son-in-law. And honestly it hurt me, I was hoping that he would stay with us.

One morning I saw him fly up to the window and sing, it was more like a scream and then I knew it, I took the camera as fast as I could and I took what would be the last photos of Jerry in our house. Suddenly, he took off in a perfect flight up to the roof, where he was greeted by three hummingbirds.

Not long ago I was washing and a big fat hummingbird perched on the ceiling singing, I looked up and asked him wistfully "Jerry is that you? And he left.

Español:
Hola comunidad @liketu y @amazingnature.
